3.5mm TRS to TRRS Microphone Patch Cable Mic Cord Compatible with iPhone, Smartphone, Tablets for Rode SC7, VideoMic, VideoMicro Go, BOYA & Other External Mic (Please Read Details/Instruction Below)

I was going to return this as it did not work for me as expected. After much research, i discovered that this follows the CTIA standard used by iphones (as opposed to the older OMTP standard). This cable does not support audio output from the phone but is used only for mic input from tsr to tssr into the phone. I needed a lightning to tssr adapter and once everything was correct, it worked fine. Only nit - it is quite short.

Use this often, when videoing for my YouTube channel.

I needed a TRS to TRRS patch cable that would work with my Rode Videomicro and an iPhone XS Max (with Apple 3.5mm headphone to Lightning adapter). This works great for what I needed it for. And it's much less expensive than the Rode version - and works perfectly fine! Great value and just what you need if you are trying to attach an external microphone to your Smartphone that requires a TRRS plug. You can see the photo of the setup (sans the actual phone). It looks good!

This adapter worked great to connect my DJI Mic Mini to my old Samsung S7.

Necessary item to have if youre connecting your Rode Wireless Pro to a phone (with a USB-C or Lightning cable to TRS). This is how audio can be transferred, so it's a good one to keep on you.

Turn anything with an audio jack into a bluetooth enabled device with this cable and your phone. Had to do some hunting for the right app but "hear boost" checks all the right boxes, can turn off the screen, low latency, and free! My computer and my shortwave radio don't have bluetooth so this solution is perfect. Plug the TRS side into the device and the TRRS side into the phone and turn on the app and you can use bluetooth headphones to listen wirelessly!

This does not work at all. None of my devices will recognize the line in/microphone. Directly into a computer, nothing recognized an audio input device. Plugged into an iPhone with an Apple LIghtning to 3.5mm adapter, nothing recognized in any audio recording software or the system. The gray TRRS end is supposed to go into whatever needs the audio in. It isn't user error. This is junk. Save yourself the trouble and find something different.

Not having cable snake all over the place is the big bonus with this. I love that it accordions up and stays compact.
