They are great options for deep carry or an EDC folder. The douk douk shines when any style of locking folder is frowned upon. You will need to sharpen it as its not super sharp out of the box ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Douk-Douk-DOUK!!!! *by B***F on February 28, 2019* Great small knife. These are hand made one at a time by a small shop in France on traditional equipment and the owner is a direct ancestor to the original company creator. Made as a tool, you might find some blemishes and “character” right out of the box. This knife has an incredible history and to know it’s still being made in the same way, by the same family, is very interesting. This small knife is legal in most areas (3” blade, there is a 3.5” blade version also on Amazon) and is sharp out of the box. The back spring is very strong with a half lock for safety. I find it much more secure and stout in use over something with a weak lock without a half stop, such as a Case Sodbuster etc. This is a light, extremely thin and portable knife that is built to be simple, dependable, and will last for years. Edge retention isn’t great but very easy and quick to sharpen up again. If legal in your area, the larger model can be a bit more capable but this small one is very nice for most any EDC chore. Overall a timeless and rustic example of old world knives and is still 100% relevant and useable today.
