Have a Question? See What Others Asked
hi I will be collecting a springer spaniel in a few wks. i was wondering what size pet carrier you would recommend?
what size would i need for a cockapoo?
Do you think i would get away with a medium size for a cockerpoo?
Would extra large be an appropriate size for a labrador?

Does the job
My dog likes it. It’s OK if you don’t have a chewer and your dog is OK in a crate otherwise would not be too difficult to escape out of. The horizontal struts in the frame are a bit tricky to connect. Also quite heavy.

Fit's a Dacia Duster 2017 model
This review is currently only based on how it fits in our car, as we haven't picked up our puppy yet.We chose this one as I don't like the idea of the metal crates, especially as we have a nice wooden one for the house. We have a 2017 Dacia Duster and other than very expensive bespoke crates, I have struggled to find anything that is a guaranteed fit.As this is fabric, lightweight and relatively inexpensive, this fit my requirements. I chose the large as our puppy is a sprollie (English springer/border collie cross) and I wanted to make sure he has space to move around.I am very pleased to say that this fits very nicely in the boot, with a bit of space between the back seat and crate. This space is big enough to fit our emergency box in, which is about the same size a shoe box for a pair of man's trainers. There is also enough space at the front to easily access the zips. The only downside is the mat. While it is very soft, it is also very thin but this can be easily fixed by adding an extra blanket. All in all, I am happy with this crate and I hope our puppy is too.Update June 2023 - our puppy is now 10 months old and weights about 19kgs. He can only just turn a round inside and is unable to stand up. Which means we can't use this anymore. He also didn't really like it, so we only used it when visiting family and he needed quiet time. We think he didn't like it due to it being quite dark inside compared to his crate at home.Despite that, it was good while we could use it and it folds up fairly flat. It is also easy to take a part to wash. Increased our rating from 3 stars to 4 due the practicality of the crate, even though it is now too small for our dog.

Great travel crate
After searching for a good quality travel crate we came accross this one through a friend. It's great quality, easy to assemble/fold up and packs down to a manageable size.

Great size for 2 cats to transport.
This is a fantastic size and perfect for transporting two cats safely in the car. I have four rescue cats and have recently purchased another carrier as it was so useful!! I pop these in the back seat of my SUV and wrap a seat belt around them to keep them stable. It is very easy to assemble and store. I found the quality to be very good and the pockets super useful. I also love that it has 3 entry points with zips on the side, front and top of the carrier, so you can reach your pet quickly.I prefer fabric to metal crates although of course not as robust. Its great for shorter journeys. I would not recommend it for animals that like to chew through things! Its just mesh material on the entry points. Thankfully my cats have outgrown this but I'm sure that they could get through it if they were desperate.Highly recommended to all, a great design! A*

Is it a MOOL ?
We bought a MOOL carrier a few years ago. This one is similar but branded "FLOOFY FRIENDS". Not sure if it is really a MOOL. It appears to be made of lighter weight material (not so durable).

Really good product
Sturdy, good for keeping in pet when it cant be released, but more comfortable than a pet cage & due to mesh panels good visibility for pet too. My pet was very relaxed in this in comparison to being put in a small pet carrier.

Sturdy comfortable carrier, with one tiny flaw
Bought both the X-Large and Medium versions, and been pleased - used both extensively. One little design flaw that's a bit silly: the two velcro tabs for holding the main panel open when rolled up are on the *inside* when it's zipped closed. This makes sense for ease of use, and in fairness they're sewn on well, but two small kittens managed to claw them off in both carriers within a couple of journeys. The mesh itself is strong and hasn't suffered, and the clawed-off tabs aren't a problem since the fabric of the rolled panel still sticks to the outer velcro. Not a huge deal then, aside from a slight potential swallowing hazard with very young animals. Mainly just a daft design quirk - it would've been trivial to come up with a better solution.Otherwise, these have been really solid: comfy, spacious, tidy-looking, and plenty sturdy enough for regular use. Easy to take down and store flat - they're about 2.5" deep fully collapsed. When putting it up, it takes a little effort to get the joints of the poles fully seated under tension (I've nipped my hand twice slotting them into place, so keep an eye on that). There'll be a slight wobble to the carrier if they're not fully tensioned/extended, which vanishes once they're properly in place.I got the X-Large for two lively rescue kittens to live in while they were adjusting to a new home. Ideal for that purpose, but be aware it is *huge* - not much smaller than a washing machine lying on its side, so it won't go through the rear doors of my average hatchback without a heck of a wrestle (impossible with pets in). That's why I ended up with the Medium too, still plenty of room in that for two cats (now 7 months old and about 3/4 grown) and a few blankets for the odd vet trip, and it slides into the car no problem. All in all a good buy - unless you're transporting an enraged wolf, I'd recommed these over the old plastic crate style any day.
