The book is fine but the seller placed a sticker on the front cover that said something like "New Book" and it wasn't one of those stickers that peels off easily. It left a sticky residue behind. I had to use Goof Off to get the residue off. Not a huge issue, but the book is a gift and if the Goof Off hadn't worked I would of been giving a book with sticky gunk on it.

What a peaceful little book with gorgeous watercolors by Lincoln Perry. Just the thing to read while we admire the beautiful fall leaves! It is an ode to autumn, and its natural beauty we embrace.

A lovely book from a nature-loving Author who died too young, but who influenced many in relation to their appreciation of nature, and man's place in the natural world.I bought a copy of this book at Walden Pond, where Thoreau lived in a cabin in the woods for two years in the mid-19th century. It is very nicely illustrated with watercolour paintings that fit very well with text of this vintage. I kept that one, and gave this one as a gift.Recommended.
