Better then I thought
I got this to light a candle that was deep inside its holder and being able to bend the neck to light it easily was the reason I purchased this product. Using it twice a day to light this candle the battery last me over 3 weeks and have only had it die on me when I was pushing about a month. I charge it now by habit about every 2 weeks and it reaches full charge super fast. I have had this lighter now long enough to say that at least this unit has no longevity issues and I may buy another just because its very handy to have around.

I bought two - and two failed to charge
I was so excited by these that I bought two so I'd always have one charged and ready to go. I used the first one until it stopped working. It wouldn't recharge and wouldn't light anymore. Luckily I had the second one. Unfortunately for me, that one only worked until it needed a recharge, and then it quit too. And of course I'm just outside the return window. Yeesh. Save your money and buy a bic lighter - these are way too expensive to be so disposable after only one charge.

TOTALLY DISSATISFIED
My most DISAPPOINTING AMAZON purchase yet. The lighter has only been used roughly 5 times since it's purchase, Oct. 8, 2018. It is now November 26 2018, and I have not been able to get the lighter to charge or to work for the last 2 weeks. Nearly a complete waste of money. If it were not for the fact that it did work slightly more than a handful of times, it could be called a complete waste of money.

Much safer and greener than using matches
I used to light my stove / Barbecue Grill/ or outside heaters with matches. Often it took several matches and wind coverage to get things moving. This arc lighter works fast, works efficiently, and no burnt or charged stick to dispose of. The lighter lasts a very long time with a single charge, too.

Not very safe
This product works well. I have one of a different design that is not as safe. Good in family homes.

useful
I bought these to have on hand for power outages. One completely fell apart after the first charging but the second one has worked great. The lighter is very good for lighting candles and lamps. Not sure I would use it to light cigarettes though, it takes some time.

Button is way too small
It works, but the button to turn it on is so extremely small that I have to use the very tip of my finger with the nail to turn it on. I don't have large hands.

Handy lighter
Beats matches. Charges fast. Great for candles when you have to reach way down inside a burnt candle to light. I bought two, both work perfectly. Easy to recharge.
