Results, however, depend on many variables. I would just like to caution people not to succumb to expectations that their own experience will be as dramatic as cases cited in the book EARTHING or associated videos. Likewise don't deny yourself the possible measure of success that could be yours because others...even 'science-minded' others... challenge its efficacy. There is a common bias against newer science that does not comport with old science. We don't know everything there is to know about anything, and we are so uncomfortable with not knowing it is easy to shut down our minds when we get to that borderland of what could be. You know your body best. Stay open-minded and work with safe modalities that you are drawn to and decide for yourself on direct personal experience .My direct experience was after the 2nd or 3rd night of sleeping on this pad that the sore knots running down the outside of my thighs were only slightly tender by morning. They have been a chronic annoyance for years and they were sore again by the next evening but not quite as much as usual. I have lots of inflammatory issues... a collection I have accumulated over years. I expect reversals to take time and be measured rather than miraculous. The inflammation has to come down before the body's natural healing process has a chance. I'm giving it time and then I will add to my review.There is definitely a side effect that needs more recognition. After several days I felt so amped and antsy after 2 or 3 hours I had to get off of it. THIS IS COMMON! I contacted the manufacturer and was counseled to just moderate my grounding while my body adjusts. In 10 days I was getting a healthy duration of restful sleep and now the energized sensation is welcome because I get up feeling like I can take on the day's activities. Previously my body was so uncomfortable it could not relax enough for me to get any restorative sleep until the sun was coming up. I would get up feeling that I had hardly slept. These results are enough to keep me working with Earthing options. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Grounding benefits in the winter, mat is comfortable besides where the wire connects *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2018* I bought this mat so my family and I could get the benefits of grounding while we sleep and during the winter when we don't go outside much. I decided to go with this product because it came with a book, an outlet tester, the grounding cord, and because the mat looked comfortable.The first 2 nights I used it, I actually kept waking up and didn't sleep through the night which is not something i normally do. I am not sure if that's a coincidence or if the mat had something to do with it?So in my bed i have my fiance, my 5 year old, and myself so I have the mat spread out and centered on the bed horizontally so we could all lay on it.The grounding connector on my mat is located on the top silver part that you are suppose to lay on, which gets a little bit uncomfortable having to lay on the cord. I wish it came with it attached underneath (like it is shown in the pictures)This also makes it more likely to knock the grounding wiring completely off while sleeping. There were several nights I woke up and the grounding wire got detached from the mat. I ended up contacting the seller and they sent me a replacement wire which seems to be working out since then.So we have been using it just about every night for about 1 month now and I don't feel noticeably different, but I also read it could take some time to adjust and really benefit from it.Will keep using and update with any more helpful information I have ### ⭐ Cord is paper thin. *by C***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2019* Remember when your headphones cord would stop working after you touched it once?
