I had unrealistically high hopes for this tray to save me time in the defrosting process. After 1 hour my 20 oz boneless rib-eye was still solid frozen with the same white frost it had when I unwrapped it from the freezer. I flipped it a couple times during the 1 hour + process, but nothing seemed to be happening any different than if I put it on a plate on my counter. For the other reviewers that say this tray works wonders, I say, lucky you.

I gave my Costa Rican novia a demo of this using an ice cube with another ice cube on the kitchen counter. She thought I was playing tricks. We had chorizo for lunch just because she wanted to thaw it. I guess we’ll be on our way to the carniceria just to get stuff to freeze and then thaw. This may stretch the budget more than planned but we’ll live with it. A marvelous product and one of the smarter things I brought with me from the U.S.

Love it! Tossed an ice cube on it when i first got it and it melted like it was on a warm skillet. Place one side on a slight incline while you prep other ingredients and the frost on your meats just kinda beads off the tray, very satisfying to watch. Im curious if applying another tray on top of the meat will further diminish defrost time. Love that it doesn't use electricity and is easy to clean.

I've only used this once so far, but I love it! I forgot to take some chicken thighs out of the freezer until the morning of the day I wanted to cook them. I unwrapped them and placed the bare meat on the tray, and in just a few hours (maybe 3 or 4) they were thawed. The tray stayed cold so I didn't have to worry about keeping the meat out at room temperature for that long. Clean up was a breeze! There was no water or meat juices running off the tray onto my counter and I just threw it in the sink with soapy water! It's a win-win in my book!!

Wow this tray really works! I defrosted all my meats in the microwave but this tray seems to work almost as well and without the risk of overcooking. I've bought from this company before and they are very professional and were prompt with my concerns! Would definitely recommend!

I had my doubts when I bought this on a whim. OMG! I love this thing. I had a frozen package of lunch meat and it was completely thawed in less than an hour. That has never happened before. I thawed frozen large cinnamon rolls. They recommended 1-3 hours of thawing. They were thawed in about 30-45 minutes. No electricity. It just dissipates the cold and thaws the food! Definitely worth the money cuz of the time it saves when I think about dinner too late!

My wife asked "How does it work" Does it plug in? Nope, works like magic. We did learn NOT to cover it with a paper towel or something. It needs air to pass over/under it. Now we can take a steak out and grill it in an hour. One of the few gadgets in our kitchen drawer we use all the time.

As with most, I was very sceptical, but ordered anyway. When it arrived today I immediately pulled a quart bag of soup out of the freezer that I had planned on leaving on the counter overnight. After excitedly watching it melt for a while, I stopped paying attention. My husband was even more skeptical than I was. After a while he came in the kitchen and asked how the soup was thawing. I picked up the bag and shook the liquified contents. "Great!" I said. He gave me that look and glanced at the clock. "Yeah, but it took 2 hours." I informed him that it takes 4 - 6 hours on the counter. I could tell he was not convinced. "OK," he said, "but I don't believe it can melt an ice cube the way it says." I took 2 out of the freezer, put one on the tray and one on the counter. He is ordering some for Christmas presents as we speak. I can't wait to do meat!
