This is a really good snow cone maker for your home .It makes very fluffy ice (Not chunks) perfect for a snow cone. The ice catcher bowl is a little small so I use a small pan to catch the ice and I put a towel under the pan so there isn't much mess. The machine turns off when you lift the lever handle up but the shaver still turns for a couple of seconds so I would recommend a adult using the machine not children .Overall this is a great machine for the price .

I was pleasantly surprised after I tested this ice shaver. It shaves bagged ice to the consistency of snow and does it very quickly. It also has a nice safety feature that stops the blades when you lift the handle to add ice. I was expecting the body to be made of metal, but it's actually plastic with just the handle, the ice chute, and the blade assembly being metal. Even with that, I am very pleased with this purchase and look forward to really testing it at a big group event in a few weeks.

If I could give this a negative rating, I definitely would. This was awful and a huge disappointment. I bought it for my granddaughters because they love the shaved ice when visiting with me. Mine is an industrial strength style but I thought this would be good for their house. There are NO safety features, the ice flies everywhere during use and it’s little chunks instead of the nice fluffy “snow like” ice. I’m returning this immediately!!!

Product as advertized, easy to use, metal components, feels sturdy, definitely recommended. Base is plastic but sturdy enough. We use it everyday since we got it. Do not worry a out the bad reviews, this unit works and should last. Well worth the money. Buy the cheapest one in Amazon since they look like the same maker, just different brands that they slap on there.

- simplicity itself and fairly idiot-proof- wipe it down and air dry- seems like it should be durable enough for the task for decades. current use is once per week, 3 scoops. *perfect*One of the features we're asked to rate is Thickness. I'm seriously considering adding an anvil-heavy, indestructible hand-cranked antique shaver. This one seems up to the task, but I wouldn't mind something cool to look at too. Leave out on the counter (because it needs to be bolted down).Could cost a bit less. Their R&D costs are nil. If it lasts the next 50 years, I'll give em a bump in the value category. 😂👍🏿

Turns out it is my wife's favorite gift I got her for Christmas. Have used it quite a bit now and it's powerful and well built. I have zero complaints. Some complained about ice going everywhere or was messy. I found just holding the dish and rotating was simple enough, maybe that's too much work for some. As far as safety is concerned it will not turn on unless you close the lid enough as there would be know way to get your fingers in there. I wouldn't hesitate to buy.

hello, i saw your message not happy with the poor workmanship of the product as it was describe "as superior materials and delicate workmanship"; product manual doesn't give enough info. ice overshoot the small collection dish all over maybe make it bigger next time. at the buttom part small white paint not removed like a patch to one rubber. and plastic was not mention as a cover to the base body i thought its all stainless steel. and after use water continue to leak as not mention messy and unsanitary if you host a party.and delivery was very late it could be the use of transport???maybe get other kind of delivery van.but the outcome of the ice is good no doubt about that.no need to replace it just need a refund of my money and need a return label pls.asap.i 'm not good with camera as you requested machine is working so maybe you can still improve it for the future use.thank youjosefina
