Size:MD2B The True Induction MD-2B Double Burner Counter Inset Induction Cooktop is specifically designed to be inset into your countertop. Our Mini Duo gets its’ name due to its smaller footprint. Though it is smaller in size than our other double burners, the cooking potential remains the same. The MD-2B features patented power sharing technology that enables to the cooktop to not only be energy efficient but the convenience off running off of a standard wall outlet. Power sharing works by dividing the power between the two burners at 100/0, 50/50, 80/20, 70/30, etc. The MD-2B requires induction compatible cookware to operate. Cookware that has a flat bottom, is between 4 and 8 inches in diameter, and is magnetic. It cannot be used with regular pots and pans. For rv use, apply butyl tape instead of the supplied foam tape. Butyl tape will provide adequate adhesion and still allow for removal if the unit needs to be serviced. Do not place cook top on or near hot gas, electric burner and heated oven. It comes with a limited 2 year warranty and support through [email protected].

Buyer Beware - Support / Warranty can bite you
Was pretty excited about this, but have only had it for 4 months and it has stopped working. Started getting an E1 error on both elements. I understand that items do sometimes fail, so I contacted the manufacturer. Everything seemed like it was going to be OK. According to the company representative, I needed to ship the item to Florida for their technicians to "evaluate" if the product is faulty. If they determine it is faulty they will reimburse the shipping charges. I am a little confused that they haven't developed repair relationships with certified vendors across the continent as most manufacturers do. The kicker came when I mentioned I was in Canada, the game changed and I was told they will not reimburse the shipping charges. I was informed this was written somewhere, but as of today, there is nothing on their Website, the Amazon site, Warranty Card, etc... that mentioned this.I am on the hook to pay over $100 to ship this item to the other side of North America just so I can have them support their faulty product and warranty it.Sadly, having cut a hole in my countertop specific to this model and wired my kitchen plug for this unit, I am between a rock and a hard place for a replacement. This is a pretty abysmal way of handling international support which makes me wonder why True Induction even offers to sell the items outside of the continental US except as a money grab. Information about warranty support outside of the US needs to be CLEARLY written on any site where it is sold outside of the US.

Just what we needed
This unit is beautiful. It was very easy to install. We haven't really noticed that it is very loud. We already had a couple single induction countertop units so know which pans are ok to use with it. We also have the metal plate with a handle that you can use under non-conductive pans. The reason for 4, not 5 stars, is that the instructions say not to block the venting which is on the long side (back?) of the unit. Since our countertop is over 1" thick, just to inset the unit would have blocked the vent. So, instead, and, since we needed to install the unit lengthwise, we have it at the edge of the counter (if put in horizontally that venting could be at the rear of the counter). In other words, 3 sides are inset, and the vent is on the right counter edge. We could not figure how to inset the unit completely without blocking the vent, and still don't know if/how others did. In respect to installation, the instructions were vague, even though we printed some from online, but basically we cut the hold and put it in. As for size, medium pans will work, if you need to put 2 on at once. 2 large ones would not. We like the lock feature so the unit doesn't get accidentally turned on, but also have a switch to cut off the electricity at the plug. In general, the unit is very nice. I bought two square silicone dish drainers to cover it. I can remove one when I need just one burner, and the unit is protected when I do not use it.

Had the larger one from this company and loved it but it couldn't be inset the countertop
Excited to be the first to review. Had the larger one from this company and loved it but it couldn't be inset the countertop. This is exactly the same unit but a bit smaller. Fits perfectly in our existing space. One improvement seems to be the fan. Its much quieter. Its amazing how fast these things heat up. Yep love it. Even the first egg I cooked on it loved it. Notice the heart.

Only worked 3 months
Purchased this item on June 17th 2018. 3 months later it is broken. Every time I plug it in one side beeps and flashes E2. The other side works fine, but you can't stand to use it because the broken side beeps and flashes at you constantly. The users manual is not helpful. I will try to contact the seller/manufacturer since it is supposed to have a 2 year warranty. I will update my review depending on their response. A lot of money for something that only worked 3 months.

The size was a perfect fit for the width of the space left when ...
We purchased this cooktop for use in our motorhome as a replacement for the OEM propane burner range. My wife LOVES it! The size was a perfect fit for the width of the space left when we removed the original propane unit. It was about 5 inches shorter front to back than the 3 burner stove we took out, but solved that problem with a piece of stainless steel cut to fit. As far as operation, this cooktop gives a much more precise level of control of temperatures. The downsides are that it does require special cookware, and we have to manage our electricity usage. Can't run the range and the dishwasher at the same time. There is a lock button that must be pressed before pressing the button to turn on the button, but is too easily disengaged when just wiping down the cooktop.Overall, this unit is perfect for our camping needs. We generally stay at full hookup parks, so we don't need the old propane cooktop method. However, if we ever do fine ourselves without electricity, we still carry an old style portable propane stove for emergencies.

Easy to clean
Solid Kitchen Equipment. I use with the NuWave cookset.I use on countertop after installing the little feet.Makes odd sound when heating, but I think that's common for all induction heaters.Easy to clean.
