This works very well with all three of my cats who have allergies. One of my cats also has FIV and my vet recommended we try this product in any brand. We were using another brand but it was unavailable so tried this and decided going forward this is what we’ll use. I mix it into my cats food and they seem to like this brand better and I see a difference, especially in their eye crust. This powder is thinner than the other one we were using and the cats like that better. The L-Lysine smells terrible but that’s any brand you get and the (very cheap) price you pay for healthy cats. I've been giving this to my cats for a few weeks now, here's the how/why.-One cat is 9lbs and gets a half scoop dissolved in a tbsp of water, mixed with wet food once a day-Second cat is 18.5 lbs and gets 1 whole scoop dissolved in 2 tbsp of water, mixed with wet food once a day.-I mix with water instead of just adding the powder to the food because it can't hurt them to have more water in their diets, and they will lap up every drop!-My big boy was having some coughing/asthma issues on a fairly regular basis (once or twice a week), and is now down to basically zero.-Both cats seems bouncier and more playful. They are 4 and 3 years old.-So far, I am sold on this product and will continue to give it to them.

I bought this because some of my outdoor cats were struggling with what I believe to be Feline Herpes. What with the cold at night I could see they needed some help. If you have animals battling Feline Herpes, even though there has been controversy as to whether Lysine works, I think it does. They seem to be getting better and that's all I care about. I wish they had a bigger size as I'm halfway through my second one.

I know there is a lot of debate about Lysine and feline respiratory issues. That said I have a cat who has been being treated for over 2 years with chronic upper respiratory infections, unsuccessfully. Anti biotics would abate the symptom enough that she could breath and would begin to gain weight finally but as soon as she went off the (5?) courses of meds she would become symptomatic again very quickly (days or weeks) until I started her on this. She gets a scoop about 4 times a week and while we still get an occasional huge snotty sneeze, or a bit of wheezing, over all her symptoms are under control, she is eating regularly and maintaining a healthy weight and her coat condition has really improved. so has her mood. she isn't whacking the little cat 'just because' anymore when she feels crappy.

My cats don't like this product. I think it's the smell because they refuse to eat the food it's mixed into before even trying it.I have now ordered an unflavored one. Hopefully, the cat that needs it most will do better on that one.

Finally! A Lysine supplement that BOTH my cats will tolerate. The scent/flavor are very noticeable- salmon - and the powder is really a powder. It’s not granular like other brands. It’s a very fine powder that mixes very readily into their canned food and they actually like it! I use it as a preventative to keep both cats respiratory systems healthy. I have to say that one of my cats (they were both strays) has constant sinus issues. Back in May he developed an upper respiratory infection. I treated him with HomeoPet Nose Relief drops that I also purchased on Amazon. His URI was gone in 5 days and I continued with this product ever since (this was also my first purchase of this Lysine product at about the same time as the HomeoPet) His sinus are so clear now - MUCH CLEARER THAN THEY EVER HAVE BEEN in the 10 years we have had this kitty. Get this product - you will be so glad you did.

I did not see a scoop in there and if it is then because of how hard and crumbly it is I have not been able to find it. I appears that it may have gotten wet and it came like that to me. It is very hard to get a scoop full of it because of how hard and dense it is. Also my cat who I have to give the supplement will literally eat anything but if I don't add tuna or some kind of broth he will turn his nose up to it and won't eat any of the food, and I have never seen him do that. So I have not been able to give him as much as he needs because he won't eat it so I am going to have to get the previous brand that he did like as he always ate his food and never turned his nose up at the brand I had been getting him. Honestly it was a complete waste of money I guess as the saying goes you get what you paid for. I am not someone who likes to complain which is why I have not and most likely won't send it back. I may have to this time as I have lost my job and I have to get a new tub of the supplement the stuff I had previously been getting and it is a little more expensive.

I have 4 cats from age 2 to 12. This stuff has been the best thing for them ever. Even my 12 year old has renewed life.
