Review: Glad to have my KJV - There are a few things I saw that shoppers should note: 1) If the shopper wants a version with the original translators' introduction to the readers, that is not included. (Although, the introduction to Prince James is retained.) 2) Psalm 85:1 is printed weirdly; the word "land" prints the "l' on one line and "and" on the next. 3) Matthew 27:37 says that what's written on the cross above Jesus' head reads full lower case, but other KJV sources have full capitalization. I have done a word comparison suggested online to check if this was a tampered KJV, but all the words matched what is expected from the true KJV. I am still reading my Bible, so I may not have listed all the issues.

The Pure Cambridge Edition
This is the Pure Cambridge Edition. The PCE is the best edition of the KJV. Some of the editions published by Cambridge vary from the PCE in the spelling of some words, and in capitalization, but the PCE, which is the edition of the KJV in this Bible, is the standard. The text in this Bible is bold, and easy to read, but the Bible is small and compact enough to take anywhere. It has some maps in the back of the Bible, which show the extent of Israel under Solomon and David, as well as the travels of Paul, the division between Judah and Israel, topographical maps, and a map that shows the extent of the Assyrian, Babylonian, and Persian empires, and some others.

the perfect bible
i just got my bible today, and i love it. the size is perfect, and the print is just right. in the beginning of the bible it has a brief history of King James wanting a proper translation of the Greek & Hebrew text to English, as well as, the history of the patent issue & publishing from Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II. i found the historical information very interesting. i've had a King James bible since i accepted Jesus as my Savior, and the KJV was the first bible i used. i researched many bibles, before i made this purchase, and i am very happy with what i've chosen. :)

GOOD VALUE AND FINE EDITION
Excellent value and a solid, serviceable edition. Not fancy leather but sturdy. Clear print and font with no fluff. Probably last a good thirty years and that is reflected in the nice family front matter (marriages, birthdays) that would allow it to serve as an economical gift. Of course, KJV is an acquired taste but, for myself, the treasured language of many generations. And all for less than the cost of a visit to the movies. Gift to all your children!

Even if you are not a religious person ..
I was raised Roman Catholic and though I have learned from the Bible and been taught from it since I was a child, I never actually read it word for word, page by page and am finally doing so. Even if you are not a religious person, learning what is written in the Bible for its historical value and lessons taught through moral and ethical allegory - and knowing that this was the Book our Founding Fathers believed in - makes reading it that much more important for a Untied States Citizen.

Love it
What's not to love about this product? It was shipped when advertised, and arrived in the condition as advertised, plus it's a bible! The leather binding leaves a little to be desired though. Not sure it's 100% leather, but well presented nonetheless.

The only book you’ll need in your lifetime.
It’s super pretty and easy to read. You can also highlight it and still be pretty. This is definitely a must buy.

Plain, simple, ideal.
Plain, simple, and all you'll need in a small bible. No commentaries from people trying to push their own agenda, no drawings of impossible things or photos of sheep, no jarring words in red that interrupt the flow of reading (and which in some cases are mere interpretation as conversations pass from one speaker to another), and most importantly of all it's in English, not some Americanisationalized version. If I had to criticise it, having the book an extra 1cm high and 1cm wide to allow for slightly larger text would have been nice, but it's atill legible as it is.
