By life changing I mean I use to have free time but now myself and my fiancee I busy with raising baby animals and keeping them fed most nights! The collector's edition was great, with nice quality extra materials. It also means I got the Explorers Edition game, with all the updates running up to the latest (and final) one, Extinction.Official servers for PS4 are OK, a little crowded or difficult to find a space to build in for PvE (Player vs Environment). I would say that what this game lacks and needs is a basic tutorial mode to get you started out. It is kind of part of the experience that you know nothing at all, but honestly, the game is now so complex that hours of wiki reading and YouTube watching is a must.I started out on a PvP (Player vs Player) Apocolypse Server (formally known as extension servers (not the same as the new map)). This was not planned and I found the game incredibly frustrating as a total novice in this mode as there are so many high level dinos killing you and then whatever space you made a home was destroyed. Single Player or PvE normal servers are a better way to go. The player base is generally friendly and helpful if you are. Just do not accept tribe merges, tribe invites or any old alliance before you know what that means (you could loose your stuff and dinos). Going back to it now, PvP is OK as I know what I am getting in to, know the basics and I am not on the one of the harder difficulty servers.

This is an expensive product, so I did take the decision to buy this lightly. But after some careful consideration, I finally decided to go all out and purchase the collectors edition... This was an excellent decision.When I received my parcel, I'll be honest, I was worried that the contents would be cheap and not worth the £80. Inside right at the top was the game, followed by an Ark logo necklace (decent quality with plastic gems), a cloth map (a lot bigger than I was expecting) and a CD of the Ark original soundtrack. So far, all is pretty good. Then I open up to the the next layer which has a worn down leather bound book which looks (though a little matching made) could come from a dinosaur filled island. All this is excellent, but I'm still not sure if it hits the £80 mark.On starting the game, I am met with a quite obviously pc player oriented screen with text of various colours all over the place, but this is only the start-up screen. Upon, going into a new world I realise this is not going to be as easy as I first thought. Not only do I find dinosaurs constantly killing me a tad frustrating (don't let this put you off, I just made some poor decisions early on), I also found the controls extremely confusing. It is clear this was a game built for pc which (in my opinion) has not been fully optimised for PS4 or any other console. I am aware that these controls would become simpler if I also bought a mouse and keyboard, but I did not want to do so. Despite this small flaw and and my issue with how messages are displayed, after many hours this does prove to be an extraordinary game. It has an enormous open world, excellent crafting, fantastic graphics and models, and I love how you have to actively think about you're survival in this unforging world. Overall, I would truly recommend this game despite it being slightly overpriced with some flaws in the controls, as once you get used to them it is an amazing game.
