Amazon Essentials Men's Regular-Fit 9" Lightweight Stretch Shorts

I bought these shorts for two reasons. Reason 1: I can always use another pair of shorts, especially considering that from June through September in Southern California, I wear shorts daily. Reason 2: I had to buy another item and by adding the shorts, I qualified for free shipping. This isn't a great reason, but I'm being honest here. My first inclination was to buy a name-brand pair of shorts, because I have a propensity to be an elitist jerk. But then logic took over my thought process and I remembered that I didn't really care what other people thought about the logo, or lack thereof, on my rather standard pair of short pants. And frankly, I've had pretty good luck with the Amazon Essentials items I've purchased in the past. I have to say, for about twenty bucks, these are impressively good shorts. They are comfortable, lightweight without feeling flimsy, and the fabric has a reasonably good amount of give so I don't feel like they're restricting movement or negatively impacting any other aspects of lower-body comfort. Will they last the next 40 years of shorts wearing? Will I still be enjoying these shorts when I'm 90-something in a retirement community? I don't know and I don't care. They cost the same as an order of burgers and fries for two people. But they seem sturdy enough, they're definitely comfortable, and they don't look very geeky. In fact, I'd say they are somewhat flattering to my middle-aged dad body with a 33" waist and 9" inseam. In conclusion, if you're on the fence about these shorts, the time you've wasted deciding on whether or not to buy them has already cost you more in the income you could have made in the meanwhile. So "add to cart" and move on to more important decisions.

I needed to bolster some of my wardrobe in anticipation of a hot summer, so snatched up some of these. While not as high quality as my J.Crew shorts they hold up in fit and comfort. The stitching seems strong, the fabric is supple yet sturdy. Comfortable to wear and available in fun colors - I got the hot pink and the red ones just to have some more unusual colors. My only qualm is that the button seems a little loosely sewn on but I’ve experienced that randomly with all levels of quality purchases. Overall, a great purchase.

Great shorts for the price ($5 on sale). Not sure I would pay more than $10 for these shorts though. I got the light grey it has decent stretch & very lightweight. Fit is pretty accurate for 34” waist.

The fabric is so nice easy and comfortable

I really like these shorts. I especially like the size options. A Size 30 is always too small but a 32 is often too large. Being able to order a 31 was great as many shorts/pants don’t come in that option. Anyway, they fit well, the length is just right. People have commented on the material being wrinkly but I haven’t had that issue anymore than most shorts. They are comfortable and soft. I would def order another pair

These are good shorts for the price. I do have some minor issues: 1) I would appreciate another inch of depth in the front pockets; 2) I know shorts with 7-inch inseams are not the style these days, but a 9-inch inseam is a little long for shorter people; and 3) the fabric is a little thin - I wonder about the durability of these shorts. However, the overall fit is nice, and the color (stone) is perfect.

I am fan of this shorts now. I washed almost 5 times but no color fade or no shrink at all. Due to work from home the usage of shorts increased and I used this short many times. Very comfortable and perfect fit. I used this for outdoor activity, different parties and at home. I should have bought more than one; I am repenting that I missed the great deal. Definitely recommended.

I bought this on a whim because of a sale. I took a chance on the 34 waist. I'm really a 35 waist, and find most 34's too tight and 36's too loose to wear without a belt -- and I prefer to avoid belts in the summer. These 34's fit perfectly and look nice too. In comparison, I wear a 36 in Old Navy and 34 in Target's Goodfellow brand. Also, the quality of the fabric and construction are on par with both of those brands.

Lightweight summer shorts for hot days, so more useful than many other, tough and durable.

Calidad insuperable por un precio súper accesible. El color es vibrante y no se destiñe. Hay que considerar que el corte es regular, no ajustado, pero luce bien. Ligeramente más largo de lo esperado.

Son unos pantalones cortos tipo "chinos" básicos pero con buena hechura y sientan bien: la relacion calidad/precio inmejorable. Me he comprado más.

Great fit, comfortable fabric and decorative over stitching make these shorts a super deal. Glad to be able to find beige. I plan to buy more.
