FABULOUS BOOK FOR CHILDREN- MY FAVORITE!
This is an amazing book. So many times I have read children's books that I find disappointing-this one, however, far exceeded my expectations. It is such a treasure of a book, teaching little one's acts of kindness and goodness. I hope to buy and share this book with friends who have children or grandchildren-it is a real WINNER! i highly recommend it.

Charming introduction to the idea of mitzvahs
Charming pictures, upbeat and fun rhythm for reading aloud. Engaging book for explaining to a child what a mitzvah is without giving a lecture. More like this please!

Super book. Good for younger kids because of the refrain "It's a - It's a - It's a MITZVAH!!" They love to say it themselves as you read. It's also upbeat and has a good message.

Very cute book
I bought this for my two-year-old granddaughter who just loves it -- if you say, "It's a..." she yells out "Mitzvah!" Whether she understands the concept is another thing but this is one of the few books she's shown real enthusiasm for.

Joyful descriptions of acts of loving kindness
Commandments are hard to explain to the very young, but in IT’S A … IT’S A … IT’S A MITZVAH by Liz Suneby and Diane Heiman with joyful animals drawn by Laurel Molk the mitzvot (good deeds) are described and shown in an easy to understand manner. From welcoming new friends and feeding the hungry to cheering on your friends and forgiving their mistakes, the repeated refrain “it’s a … it’s a … it’s a mitzvah” helps to bring these concepts to life. Understanding and performing these acts of loving kindness early on will help children grow into kind, thoughtful, and lovely adults who take part in tikkun olam (healing the world). What more can you ask for?

Instant Classic and Treasured Family Fave
Stellar book that really brings across the ideas and importance of mitzvahs. So engaging with a built in almost game-like/song structure, my daughter and I loved it and my husband who isn’t even Jewish adored it. So much fun. This is quickly becoming a treasured favorite. If anyone knows of anymore books like this for Jewish kids ages 5-8, please let me know. Cannot recommend highly enough. Wonderful book that powerfully engages the joy and social justice of our faith.
