It smells like diesel fuel.. I made a mistake in buying this one. I found on Amazon the correct product. It is Martins permethrin 10%. (Indoor outdoors). It has no petroleum disalates. **Q: Has anyone diluted this and used to spray on clothes? The other diluted options are 2x-3x the price.** A: Yes, for years when we were camping. I spray it on my dogs, too. The smell is strong but dissapates as it dries. Let it dry before judgement is made, please. It's got 2 to 3 X the permethrin of other, more expensive pesticide sprays. Works much better than anything else that I've used that's safe for most animals and I've used many at 73 yrs old. Just be careful how you use it per directions. I take a clean gallon jug and use two of the 1/2 oz measurements on the bottle top, then add a splash more... 1.28 per gal of water. It mixes easily. I then pour into a spray bottle and a sprayer for my lawn. Avoid getting on felines and spraying near aquariums. Just common sense **Q: how many gallons does this make or what is the mix ratio to water?** A: 1 oz. per gal. of water **Q: why are there two separate chemicals? how do you mix them? I don't understand the instructions.** A: There is only one active ingredient, permethrin 10%.
