Don't go for other, cheaper brands. This is the stuff
I can't remember how much money I spent on buying the supermarket offered food colouring's only for them to be just barely colourful. This range here is perfect. You get the deep colour that you need.I had already bought a range of rainbow colour in the past for another project but this was I intended to use for a black and red polkadot cake. As you can see in the pictures, the black turned out great, considering the batter was yellow cake batter.Recommended.

Not really red
Well this definately isn't red. (used for buttercream and fondant) More pink and then a darker murky pink as you add more. I'm pretty sure Xmas Red is supposed to be nice and bright. Maybe I'm mistaken. Please be wary when buying as its not a true red colour.

Used for whitening yellow buttercream
I bought this to help whiten yellow butter cream, and think it did so really well.For those needing it for the same, I used a mixer on the butter for 15min, folded in icing sugar, used a few drops of this violet food colouring, and lastly I added some liquid whitener. The butter I used (Violite dairy free) was very yellow, and I wanted it a proper white for my daughters 2-toned birthday cake

Needed to colour 2.5kg of white fondant to blush pink and this was only one I could get prime next day delivery and due to the price I ordered 4 thinking it would be rubbish and weak, what a surprise I was in for I covered a 12x6 cake base then with fondant ruffles slightly darker than base covering I honestly used less than 1 tube. Will add picture when I upload.

Not navy more a pastel purple
The tube seemed quite full until I cut the end off and it was just full of air. I got the Navy, I would say I used a decent amount and it still.did not look navy . More or a light pastel violet purple colour. I then had to add some gel.i had to get a darker colour. I have already bought a full pack of colours but I will not be using them unless I want pastels and pales.Stick to what you know. !! Very disappointed!!!

Easy to use, though I think it would take a lot to get a dark black colour, I ended up with more like a dark grey with cake mixture and butter icing. Turned normal icing jet black though!

Its not Navy blue
This gel food colour is no near navy blue. Its more of purple, not even a dark purple. Its more like lavander in colour. I don't know why some of the comments says it worked for them. for me it didn't at all. I even used their black gel colour but it didn't do anything. And also the colour of the tube in the picture is really dark blue but when I received the actual item it is coloured purple that say navy blue???? this is trully misleading and disappointing.

You might have to use a big amount to get that intense orange colour
I like the fact that it arrived very quickly. But as to the product itself, I had to use loads (about more than half) but it still didn't provide that orange-y colour that I wanted.
