I am, after using this for 2-plus months, in LOVE with this keyboard...!!!
Previous Update: I have had this keyboard only a few months and already a key has fallen off the keyboard. Hopefully I will find it. It is the first time in all my years of typing that a key has fallen off my keyboard (and thus far I cannot find it). Therefore I changed my score of this keyboard from a 5 to a 4. NEW UPDATE: I found the key and put it back on and though a lot of time has gone by now I have not had any other keys pop off the keyboard and I still love this keyboard!I love the sound of the keys as I tap them. I have missed that in my recent keyboards. An unexpected plus was the weight of the keyboard: nice and heavy, which means it will not scooch away from me during the day as I am typing as my last one did. It stays in one place! I'm a typist that gets paid by the word, so I do a LOT of typing. Most of all of course I love the ability to FEEL like I just tapped a key. My last keyboard was like typing on a corpse and there was no getting used to it. As someone who has been making a living from typing since the IBM Selectric days, I have to say I feel like I am getting the best of both time periods now and grateful that these heavy metal mechanical keyboards have come into vogue. At first I thought that Amazon had forgotten to pack my user's manual. Until I found it on the floor near my feet! It is not the size us Westerners think of as being a manual, as it is one piece of paper printed on both sides and folded three ways so as to approach the size of a business card. I thought for the first hour I had the keyboard that the manual had been left out of the box – until I spied a very small, gray piece of paper laying on the floor. Sure enough, when you open the fold the first word reads "MANUAL." LOL. I had to use my magnifying glass to read the directions, but such the they are, it is really pretty simple. If there was one thing I would wish the company had designed differently on this keyboard – in my short time having it – it is that I would prefer some of the numerals on the keypad were "solid" numbers without breaks. I am unaccustomed to a zero that looks more like a cross between parentheses and brackets – ( ) or [ ] – only not quite that big of a gap. I would rather a nice SOLID zero. Other numbers with breaks in them I would prefer had been left as solid numerals are 4, 6, 8 and 9 as well as the letters O, P, B, Q and A. Strange that they keys for 0 and O are EXACTLY the same with the broken parenthesis-like/brackets-like symbol. NOT helpful. But hey, if that is all I have to complain about I can live with it!Recommended? YES.UPDATE: There are features I did not expect which have brought this keyboard to well above any expectations. The weight (heavy) of this keyboard keeps it from traveling around while I am typing. Such a RELIEF...! And once I got a good (and very high) wrist rest, I feel like I can type 2 times the amount I could before -- in half the time. I LOVE THIS KEYBOARD. If I could afford it, I would buy another just because it's so great.

An excellent, heavy mechanical keyboard, with brown switches!
This is a really good keyboard. It is easy to type with and heavier than most others in its price range. It is NOT going to move around if you are typing heavily. The design is really nice too, so it can fit in an environment that may be a step or two above the fabled basement computer area, lol! One thing that I really like is that there is virtually no rest or slant on the front. My computer tray has a wrist west across the entire bottom front edge, so I don't have to stretch past the front in order to reach the keys.I'm not sure of the brand of the switches, but they work well and that is what counts, with the keyboard's metal frame and spill resistant design, it will last for longer than I need to think about.

This is a great one
The media could not be loaded. I really love this keyboard, the feel is great, and it's very solid. It's also much more workplace friendly than other options.Overall, the experience has been very good for as office friendly as you can get with a keyboard that you can still feel and hear. Physical keyboards at the proper hieght and distance from your person are also far less likely to create repeated stress injury (carpal tunnel)Awesome keyboard! And the affordable price!!! The feel is great and more or less comparable with the more expensive Cherry switches. The chassis is firm and feels well-built.Love the different backlit modes and the ability to turn the backlit one and off or dimmed to any level at will. This a great one.

It looks great. I was hoping it would resolve issue with clicking the 3 key that just does not seem to take during my rotation while playing Elder Scrolls Online. I am now wondering if it is the game that can't keep up, or is it just something mechanical with me and the 3 key with how I sit in front of the keyboard. Anyway, it looks great, and I like the click sound of the keys, which I kind of missed from before.

Buyer Beware, Very Deceptive!!
Pretty disgusted that this keyboard clearly says in the product description that it has "red switches"yet as you can see by what arrived in the pictures that the switches are clearly brown switches, (big difference)! This keyboard also arrived missing three keycaps as well off of the number pad. Even at $50, thistype of deceptive description and quality is just unacceptable.*Note* If you also notice in the product pictures it show red switches as well and also shows it asbeing an "HCMAN" keyboard, not GOFREETECH. Why does Amazon allow this?
