Heats lower level adequately with its own thermostat. Good price. All I could have a concern about is that the top gets warm and might be dangerous to kids or pets seeking warmth. I have neither. Happy with purchase!

I purchased a Duluth Forge Dual Fuel Vent Free Gas Stove - Model DF25SMS, TSTAT through Amazon and it was received on Friday afternoon. I opened up the box to put the logs in and found log three was broken in half with only the left side that was shipped. I opened up the door where the igniter is located and a machine screw dropped out of it. In my opinion the controls are poorly placed and cheaply made without a remote control. I noticed some of the black paint missing , some of the pins from the logs had fallen out of the logs and others were damaged, debris from the logs was also an issue. I don't feel safe having my gas provider hooking this up!

We are living this little heater , it heats up our 28X 46 ranch very well , it doesn’t heat the bedrooms that well but we only sleep them so I am using the electric heat for at night ,i closed all the vents in the house except the bedroom

It was easy to install, but hard to light the pilot.Once lit, the heat is great, but when the unit is turned off (with pilot still alight) it goes on and off randomly. Not only is this a waste of gas, but it should not be this way.Customer service: I have not been able to get a response from anyone yet (BuyDirect or Duluth Stove) so I cannot comment.

Fabilious heated my home kept temp constant

2 of the “styrofoam” logs broken. All screws that attach it were loose. The entire inside was scratched from loose “logs” banging around inside.Mounting plates were loose, poorly packaged to ensure a quality product. Returned after opening, would never hold up to much use.

Poor quality and construction. Logs came broken. Sent it back. Do not waste your money

This model did not come with a remote control. In order to turn on the stove you need to get on the floor to see and reach the dials. Dials feel a little flimsy. Flames look natural and the stove throws off a lot of heat more than we expected but a pleasant surprise.
