I bought this to control the zoom for my Canon Legria HF G26 as the zoom controls on the camera are awkward to use when mounted on a tripod. It clamps to the tripod handle with a screw fit and there is a cable which you plug one end into the unit and the other end into the camera remote socket.Initially I was disappointed it didn’t work and was removIng it to pack back up and return when I noticed a small switch on the side. I flicked the switch and tried again and it worked. It turned out the switch is used to enable the controller for different camera makes. The third picture for the item does show the switch and says one way for Sony and the other for Panasonic. For Canon cameras use the Sony setting.The variable zoom control is far better than the rocker on the camera and gives a much steadier zoom speed. If you are having problems with this before sending it back check that switch!

To quote the advert, it does exactly what it says on the tin!A great little Lanc controller. Sits nicely on the tripod pan bar and works seamlessly. A very smooth zoom wheel which gives excellent control over the speed of the zoom. Makes covering events etc a breeze. The record button is ideally situated again making life so much easier. For the price I don't think you can beat it. I've used a number of different types of these from this cheaper model all the way to the expensive pro versions which are incorporated into the pan bar itself. This matches nicely. A good little unit.

Excellent product, does exactly what you would expect. Works with Sony LANC over converted. Good stuff.

Simple to attach and use, very effective zoom control with the thumb rocker. Great addition to any fixed DV camera.

Just to say, if anyone is wondering - this works with the Panasonic HC-X20 camera, operates the zoom on the handle, not the one on the top of the camera, and switches on/off recording. Great if you have shaky hands.

Didn't work with Sony FS5

Didn’t work on my Canon XA40 camcorder. Should be able to plug and go. Sending it back. Btw, comes in small box, no instructions, no nothing. Not fit for purpose.

Solid feeling product with a smooth zoom. It doesn't do a 'crash zoom' but it's perfect speed for me.

Ich habe mir auch zum zweiten Mal die Zoom Control DSLR Pro bestellt. Der Controller funktioniert reibungslos mit der Panasonic HC-X1 und mit anderen von mir getesteten Panasonic-Camcoder-Modellen. Wenn man je nach Bedarf ein längeres Kabel dazu kauft, ist der kompakte Controller ideal für verschiedene Situationen. Danke.

Sono stato titubante fino all'ultimo nell'acquisto di questo oggetto. Temevo qualche anomalia nel funzionamento visto il costo molto basso rispetto ad altri più blasonati. Invece sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso!Le camere di destinazione sono una Panasonic UX90 ed una meno recente Canon XH-A1s. Su Youtube ci sono filmati che mostrano spesso su alcune camere che la risposta non è immediata alla pressione e che non è molto preciso e fluido. Ero tentato dallo spendere 150 euro per lo stesso pulsante ma di marche più blasonate. Alla fine...SANTO AMAZON SEMPRE.Che dire, è semplicemente fantastico, funzionale, perfetto! Alla pressione, la camera risponde immediatamente. Con la Canon A1s per partire con la velocità minima dello zoom la pressione è minore rispetto alla Panasonic UX90 dove è necessaria una lieve maggiore rotazione della leva per azionare lo zoom ma parliamo di inezie. Veramente nulla da dire, era ciò che mi serviva. Si lega perfettamente al manico del treppiede senza nessun tipo di problema.Davvero rispetto allo stesso oggetto su cui un collega ha speso 6 volte di più non riesco a capire quale sia la differenza. Funziona allo stessissimo modo e parliamo sempre di plastiche quindi nulla di che sui materiali che non diventano certo oro anche se il remoto costa molto di più. Per quanto riguarda la risposta e la fluidità è la medesima senza alcuna differenza. Davvero non capisco. Probabilmente il costo estremamente maggiorato su altri marchi starà appunto...nel blasone del marchio. Ma in termini di funzionalità e di costruzione non mi sembra che cambi davvero nulla.Straconsigliato a tutti agli addetti ai lavori.

Va perfecto. En la posición que corresponde para Sony es tambien para Canon cumpliendo todas ss funciones. Bien construido. Sustituye el botón de grabar y los de zoom.
