We got two of these to use as outdoor burners while camping. I have a Nuwave and love it but didn't want to risk taking it in and out of the RV. These are just the thing. The only downside is that they have controls that are a little strange and it took a while to figure out how to get the temperature I wanted.

This is my first induction cooker. Here's what I learned.this cooks your food, not your pan. For things that boil water, that's not a big deal. for things that fry, you get concentrated energy in the center of the pan. Good to manage the cooking time to prevent overcooking. Also - pay attention to the pan type. It works on the principle of magnetism (that's all the science I have), so aluminum and stainless steel pans must have a clad bottom.the unit itself is just as pictured. easy buttons. rice? press the rice button. stir fry? press the stir fry button.lightweight. much lighter than the standard hotplate. has a cooling fan, so it makes some noise (no louder than a microwave) while it's working.Cons: the manual could use some work. full grammatical errors, not written by professionals. I didn't buy a book, though. The unit is great.

I had a nu wave pic that quit working and found this one for $30. This one works just as good . It just does not have as precise control as the nu wave, but for the price it is just as good. If you want try induction cooking for the first time this is the one to get. If you are new to induction cooking just remember this, if a magnet will stick to the bottom of the pot,pan,or kettle it will work.If you don't have that kind of cookware they sell a flat pan called a diffuser that you can put on the surface of it and put any pot or pan on top of it. Overall I am happy with this product.

I bought this for my son who is in college. It was a Christmas present, but I had to try it out. It's amazing how fast this can heat water! The unit is very solid feeling and the top is easily wiped off. Very heavy, quality cord. We haven't had it long enough to comment on durability or life span, but I rated it high based on construction.Someone rated it low because of an error code. E0 will display when you turn it on. This will go away once you place a magnetic pan on it; doesn't have to be a fancy new pan. My first try was with a 40 year old stainless pan.I will be buying one for us, if only for rapid heating of soups and water, with almost no energy usage. Will find other great uses too.

A lot bigger than I thought but I guess that’s a plus right? Lol.When you buy it, it will say “EO” until you place a pan on top of it. I’m assuming it’s a safety mechanism.I cooked an egg to test it and it cooked fast! I put it on the lowest setting (I believe 140 degrees).Egg tasted good! Overall happy but will need to test a little more with it.

It works, just louder than I expected even when it's on standby mode.

I like the portability, but I think it’s a little bit high on EMF(radiation) but yea it’s why it come with this price. But im still using it cause Im living in a hotel so this is the best option. Thank you though

It works well, but lacks the precise features of more expensive cookers. But if you don't need all that precision, it works well and I am satisfied if not ecstatic ...Three Stars.
