Night Blooming Jasmine Plant - Cestrum Nocturnum

What an unusual plant. I couldn't have found it locally. I am so glad I noticed it at Thai Greenhouse when I was shopping for another type of plant. It arrived very healthy with blooms already formed. Just as described, the blooms opened at night and emit a strong fragrance. I can smell it all the way up to my second story balcony even though the plant is at ground level. I am very happy with my new Night Blooming Jasmine and I highly recommend Thai Greenhouse and their products.

I have been wanting a night blooming jasmine plant for a while and decided to finally try my green thumb with one. I was very pleased with the responsiveness of the company to emails and issues. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again and plan to for any plant I want to grow.

The packaging was excellent however it appeared the plant was recently transplanted. Unfortunately the plant did not make it.

I received 2 bare sticks that had been run over and promptly died.

The plant arrived well packaged & undamaged. The only reason I have given it 4 starts instead of 5 is because the plant is still young. Once it develops & starts blooming, I will revise my review to 5 stars. I followed their instructions regarding replanting. The plant seems to be doing well. I can't wait to see it flower. I would recommend it.Revised to 5 stars on 31-May-2016: The plant survived well and is healthy and I can see some buds forming already. I'm very happy with the purchase.Revised to 3 stars on 13-Jun-2016: Though the plant is in full-bloom and doing very well, it lacks the fragrance. I don't know if this is the non-fragrant variety. I assumed it would have the typical fragrance associated with Night Blooming Jasmine. I don't remember the buyer saying this was a non-fragrant hybrid/cultivar.Revised to 4 stars on 22-Jun-2016: One can smell the signature fragrance of night blooming jasmine when you put your nose to the flowers. It was very subtle in the beginning, but I've noticed it getting stronger. I have no idea though as to why. I also researched the lack of fragrance online, and folks have suggested administering fish bone meal fertilizer (high in nitrogen) for jasmines. I plan to administer it to my jasmine see if it helps strengthen the fragrance of the blooms.

I followed the instructions and it's growing nicely. I still have it in a pot and will transplant it when it gets too big for my pot.
