Firm but not uncomfortable, more like a firm mattress than a 'sink-inable' sofa.Mine arrived ever so slightly bent from the plastic wrap meaning the top on the storage compartment is drawn back further than it should be, which shows the staples on the top edge of the storage box. I rang them up and they told me to loosen the screws so that the top sits slightly further forward. I haven't tried to do this yet so I don't know if it will work or not.Mine also didn't come with instructions but it's pretty simple to put it together. It comes in two massive box'es so make sure you have plenty of room for the delivery people. Also it's not advisable to put it to gether on your own, as lifting it to the right highly and putting the bolts in at the same time is tricky. You defiantly want one person on each of those jobs.Delivery was a bit disappointing, they give you a range of ten working days, and will not offer you a specific day. Don't even think about a time slot on a specific day. Their saving grace on this is that they will text you two days in advance to confirm delivery.
