Dark Goddess Oracle Cards: 48 full colour cards & 110pp guidebook

I’ve been an explorer in the world of divination for a fair few years now, with my favourite Tarot decks usually nearby at home, as well as Norse Runes and Celtic Ogham. I’ve had a bit of a hit-or-miss relationship with ‘Oracle Cards’ in the past, though, as they sometimes seeem a bit random or difficult to connect with. So when I was asked to take a look at this deck, while I trust the creators as friends, I was a little nervous. Nobody likes to give a bad review!I needn’t have worried. These beautiful cards seemed to jump out at me as I ‘tested’ them, pulling cards here and there for willing friends to see how well they ‘worked’.Now the thing to remember with divination sets is that when I say ‘worked’, I don’t mean empirically: turn light-switch = bulb brightens, for example. I mean that the cards resonate with both seer and querent, connecting as required to provide effective and useful guidance.This is most easily measured in the response to the image on the card – often a gasp, as relevance is immediately found (rather than ‘Well, I don’t understand that.’)These cards hit the mark every time, without exception. That’s rare.The images are lovely. Not necessarily all depicting each Lady as I’ve encountered Her, but you can certainly see the relevance – and how difficult is it to photograph a Goddess and capture every aspect of Her?!Barbara and Flavia have used their considerable experience to create images to help inspire deep thoughts in those using the cards. Each also has a key word on the front… which I confess, I didn’t actually notice initially, as I was so caught up in all of the drama in each picture! I’ve found that my own experiences of each Lady has helped understand the connection for those coming to me with questions; the keyword is useful, but as it’s hard to capture a full image with every meaning of each Goddess, so one word can never do Her justice. The words are a useful guide, however, as is the handy and thoughtful book which is included in the pack.I would say that this deck works at the level appropriate for the user. They may just be pretty pictures, with a word to help; or the images may spark something much deeper. It’s not simply about the figure, after all, but what’s going on within the picture, in context of you asking for aid or guidance.I look forward to continue using this cards in the future, as and when they call to me. Although my main complaint is simply that Barbara and Flavia haven’t included themselves in the imagery! Two beautiful and clever witches who definitely deserve to be visited if you ever get the chance, either at events around the UK or at their shop, Arnemetia‘s in Buxton, Derbyshire.

This deck stood out to me & I just knew I had to buy this deck. I spent a bit of time to get a feeling to this deck & just pulled a few cards for someone. & what I pulled was very accurate to what they are going through at this moment in time. I’ve really connected with this deck surprisingly quick! The artwork is just gorgeous! I highly recommend this deck to anyone just starting out with Tarot cards or advanced. The book is very easy to read & understand. I’m really happy with my buy!

The cards came well packaged and quickly. Now thats the boring bit over...This is my first deck by the authors (Ive had many decks in my time)The design of the and illustration on the cards are wonderfully striking. They give weight to the reading. Ive completed a few readings with this deck using the suggested spread. And wow.The messages are very direct and theres no messing with these ladies. Everything is laid out in front of you and I really appreciate the lack of fluffyness in these cards.You have to be ready to use these cards. If your hero is Doreen Virtue these may not be for you. That being said they may be a compliment to her Goddess Oracle deck (I went off Doreen a few years back before all the recent fuss)Overall this is an accomplished deck that even readers who only use tarot would appreciate.If you're a pagan or witch these would do you good in your daily practice.Im so pleased with this purchase. Its my new favourite deckI will be buying more decks by the authors.

Couldn’t wait for these cards to come out 😊 I already have several sets of the authors cards that I love . The illustrations are beautiful and the guidance and foresight for my first reading were eerily relevant to the situation I have been in the last six years in particular the last twelve months going through my own dark night of the soul. The cards were presenting positivity and guidance as I am resurfacing. Loved the incantations for each one and the goddesses revealed . Altogether a beautiful set of cards that I feel so comfortable working with and very original

Now I have never been a love and light kind of witch and have always been happy to embrace the darker side, blood, tooth and claw are just as relevant as love and light, you can't cure if you can't curse blar blar blar LOL. It is also about knowing who you are in all your aspects. So when these oracle cards by Flavia Kate Peters and Barbara Meiklejohn-Free popped up on my news feed I was intriguedThey arrived this morning and I have yet to use them in any serious way BUT wow, they have a kind of dark almost steam punk flavour to them which appeals greatly.I have had a little play and I do believe these will fast become one of my go to decks of cards.I guess if I had one slight criticism it would be that they could be even darker but that remains to be seen as I get to use them. Very very pleased with them not been so excited about a new oracle deck in a long time. THANK YOU both very much for creating something a bit special,

My cards come today and I was very happy. The cards are beautifully designed, and the book is an excellent guide to use them. They are turning out to be spookily accurate to what is happening in my life quick delivery and worth every penny. All I can say is I would re commend them.

Amazing cards, these are like having wise aunties whom call out the bs & dark side of our souls I am in absolute awe with these cards & the messages they bring, I bought them along with the other witches decks & as much as I love them all the dark goddess resonates with my soul & are very much a welcome fixture & a daily advisory.
