Update: After posting my 1 star review I was contacted by the seller who offered me a return or exchange. I had already returned the empty cartridge so they offered to send me a new set. I am disappointed in my original experience but glad the seller backs their product and offered me a new set.Original-------------I needed to print one day and was having issues with my black ink in my HP 4650 printer. The printer showed I had some ink but was on the low side. I figured that maybe my ink had dried up as I do not print often. I found this product which was significantly cheaper than the genuine HP ink replacement cartridges and thought I would give it a shot. The overall reviews were very good.The item arrived fast and I put in the new cartridges. I tried to print again and my printer would still not print black ink. It was printing color fine just as it had previously. The printer also showed low black ink but full color ink. At this point I thought my printer was broken. I mean, how can I have the same issue with some brand new ink cartridges? I spent a lot of time trying to troubleshoot the issue but to no avail. I gave up and bought a new printer. I wasn't happy my HP printer broke but replaced it with the same one since I had just bought brand new ink for this printer.I get my new printer, hook it all up, and put in these ink cartridges. I go to print my first page and am horrified when again my printer only prints color ink and no black. At this point I realize what has happened. My "new" black ink cartridge arrived completely empty. Just to verify I put in the ink cartridge that came with my new printer and watched as my printer pushed out a perfect black print. As you can imagine, having spent many hours troubleshooting and even buying a new printer I was not happy with this discovery. Needless to say I am giving this ink a 1 star and going to stick with the overpriced genuine ink from now on. At least that actually shows up with ink in the cartridges.

Hmmm it is difficult me to review this product because my review depends on the actual cartridge you get.I've ordered a few of these now. The first one showed up and was great, the only problem was that it ran out of ink after a handful of print jobs. The company contacted me to ask about my level of satisfaction with their product. I told them I liked it BUT it ran out of ink in about 2 minutes. They were really sweet and sent another. That unit lasted a reasonable amount of time. Accordingly I assumed that the first one I received was defective and ordered more.Well, when my second cartridge ran out I ordered a third cartridge. Once again, the thing ran out of ink after a very small number of prints. So it seems to me as if the quality control is spotty.As much as I like to save money, I don't think I'll be ordering again because I can't depend on these to do what they're supposed to do. And honestly, I don't have the time to run out of ink, write follow up letters, and wait for replacements when the unit I order is defective. So I'll keep looking for that perfect bargain cartridge.

I purchased Black 63XL and Colored 63XL ink for my HP 3830. Even though I purchased them a month ago I just installed them this past week. So far I will say the quality is great, the print is sharp, and the color is bold. I like how it is shipped with a extra plastic cover to prevent damage on the black cartridge. However the colored cartridge did confuse me and I almost ripped off the strip needed in order for it to print, it did not have the same plastic cover. So, far I would recommend this product. I will update the longer I use it, and report the printing quality.*****************************************UPDATE***************************************************************I have printed many sheets of paper since I wrote my original review and would like to give updated feedback. I have had no issues with the cartridge, ink or quality. I recently this week had to install my HP printer software onto my new laptop. In doing so HP ran a diagnostic report on my printer and reported I was using HP original ink. That alone should tell you how great this product compares to HP ink cartridge. I would highly recommend this product and seller. I will be purchasing more ink from them in the near future and the best part is, for half the cost!

I have ordered these a couple of times now. There are pros and cons but the price keeps me coming back.Pros:InexpensiveWorks fine, especially for someone who doesn’t need the highest qualityMy printer has always taken them, they include a rubber eraser to clean the cartridge if your printer won’t accept it, I have only had to do this once.Cons:Has a weird smell when it comes out of the printer before the ink is dryColors are maybe not quite as good as hp brand ink (the pink seems just a bit brighter)I would recommend these to anyone who is looking to save money and isn’t super picky about having the absolute best quality.

Update: After posting my 1 star review I was contacted by the seller who offered me a refund via PayPal or gift card. I am disappointed in my original experience, but I am grateful to the seller for their good customer service in rectifying the situation.Original-------------This is the second time that I have ordered these cartridges and they have malfunctioned. The first set was returned and replaced, and now the replacement is not working. Not worth the hassle, probably easier to just pay full price at this point. Very frustrating.

I ordered these a couple months back and finally installed the first Kogain 63XL black cartridge today. I have a HP3830 printer and when it failed to align it posted a message indicating the cartridge is "damaged or have failed".If I put the original (empty) one it it's recognized just fine; however, the Kogain is unusable. I'd like to return/exchange these.UPDATE: I was contacted by the seller who offered a replacement or refund. While the cartridge appeared to be a dud the company demonstrated very good customer service and would be inclined to try them again.
