I got this as a Christmas present for my 8 year old daughter... How nostalgic. These things were very cool when I was a kid. I can't believe they came back into "style"... I was super excited for her as I knew how much I enjoyed mine as a kid but they are just not made the same. After a month it quit working. It does not respond to the buttons/commands, or do the activities it is supposed to do. Battery is not dead. Would not recommend.

The LCD screen is dim and dark. I don't know if it's because it is a remake of something old, or something happened, but it's almost unviewable. I have an older one of these, and it looks great. The buttons are old, and the plastic is starting to yellow, but the screen is clear, which is not the case on this model.

I want to give zero stars!! I received a defective toy. As a child I had many of these digital pets to care for I thought it would be fun for my son to have one too, they were so popular when I was a child and fun too. On Christmas morning he was happy and played with the toy however, the pet quickly died. I thought he was a bad pet owner and reset it, however the pet died again in the same day and the screen went fuzzy, we reset and tried again same thing. I asked for a refund and was told to ship the item back and my account would be credited however I was also told I would only receive a $3 refund for shipping costs, I live in Hawaii went to the post office and asked for cheapest way to ship the item back, I was quoted at least $8. That means I will be paying at least $5 for a defective item that I don’t even have as it was sent back. $5 for a defective item that is only $17 is not fair that’s more than a quarter of the original cost. I was thinking of buy this toy for my other three kids but won’t be doing so anymore. I have never written a bad review but this one definitely deserves it.

I would give zero stars if I could. This item is terrible. When I received it there was a very loud beeping that would not stop. I eventually ended up drowning the damn thing so it would stop. Gave me a terrible headache.

Not durable at all, bought this for my child and it broke on the first day. The case did not hold the buttons in place and the rubber slipped, got it straightened out and the screen glitched. Looked through the instructions and tried to troubleshoot but we couldn’t get it straightened out and one of the buttons is permanently stuck down. I wouldn’t buy this if I were you.

Was so excited to buy this for my daughter since I had one as a little girl. However, she got it for Christmas and now it’s BROKE?! She’s barely used it other than to feed it and take care of it. It sat on the table when she was not using it so I know it’s not from being rough with it. The B button has completely broken. We cannot use it at all. I had high hopes but not even a week of use kinda upsets me.

16 days in the battery died but then started working again once the Tamagotchi was restarted. We tried changing the battery but it doesn't seem to get any further than about 2 weeks before showing the dead battery symbol and needing to be restarted so I'm assuming it's a problem with the item itself rather than the battery. My son has lost interest after taking care of a character for so long just to have the battery die and have to start over again.

My daughter wanted one for her bday and was so disappointed when she opened it. The screen is so dark you can barely make anything, not at all like in the picture. It's not responding to the instructions either, no matter how many times I tried. No child can have any enjoyment out of this. I can't even return it now, so I'm buying her something else. She was so sad and disappointed, I'm pretty upset.

El tamagotchi no superó mis expectativas! Realmente decepcionante. Apenas cumple los 7 años el Tamagotchi y luego luego muere. Nunca llega a ser más grande por más cuidados que se le den. No lo adquieran, no lo recomiendo.

I just bought it to look at it and you're probably reading this review because you want to do the same. Very pretty little Tama. Can't comment on the game play because, as I said, I bought this pretty little Tama just to look at it. It's currently on display in my room. A+ would recommend you buy one to look at it too. Oh! I have read that if you do play it, don't feed it snacks until it's an adult or you greatly increase the chances of killing it and you may be arrested by the Tama police before you can even reset the device.

The Tamagotchi I got for my 6-year-old niece has been a huge hit! It's fun, easy for her to use, and teaches responsibility in a playful way. Highly recommended for young kids who love interactive toys!
