I purchased 3 of these spy cameras to use as indoor home security. They are easy to set up (using the downloadable App) but, I quickly found the supplied, rechargeable battery only lasts around 8 hours (and this is stated in the small manual that comes with the device, so is not a battery issue). As a result, they need to be plugged into a mains socket 24/7 and this greatly reduces where they can be placed. The supplied short (75cm) USB charging cable also adds to the problem. No charger is supplied with the device, and so, you will either need an old plug in type USB phone charger, a plug socket that has built in USB charging ports or have them permanently plugged into a laptop or computer USB port. This again severely hinders where they can be placed. They claim to be "HD" but playback is poor quality and when enlarged on a computer monitor, is dismal to say the least. Playback on a smart phone is about acceptable but still wouldn't pass as HD. The clock display is super bright, and at night, illuminates the whole room with a blue hue and there is no provision to dull the brightness. An extra Micro SD card is also required (I purchased a 64gb card for each, and that is the maximum size allowed) and the 64gb card gives around 8 days of 24/7 recording (gives you an idea of the claimed HD quality when 192 hours of recording can be held on a 64gb sd card). Night time recording is done with black and white, infrared filming which is limited to about 5m in range. Overall I am not impressed with these spy cameras. (especially seeing that one has now completely failed and been returned, after only 4 weeks use). Time will tell if the other two continue to work. If I hadn't had to buy 3 micro sd cards, 3 usb plug in chargers, 3 extra long charging cables (to enable me to place them in best positions) I would return them all..... My Advice?.....Try something more expensive and give these a miss. They work (just, and for how long?) but that's the best I can say about them.

Discretion is the key with any hidden camera, and this small digital clock with spy device couldn't be more discrete; you certainly wouldn't suspect for one minute that it was recording either directly to my phone, or onto a SD card. A rechargeable battery behind the back cover need to be activated, and charged, the on/off switch is also located here. Then the 'Tuya Smart' app is downloaded, and then paired with my device; ready to use. How amazing that something so discrete as this spy camera can really pick such clear images. I am watching them live with my phone at the moment but will probably get a micro SD card so I have recordings saved, for security reasons obviously. I found the simple set up, easy to follow with the small manual included. I know if I need to leave a workman in the house, I can keep an eye on them from a distance; well you can never be too safe, can we? and they certainly would have no idea we were watching. With a memory card installed I could record plenty of data, so no problem with storage. I hope I will never need this extra layer of security at home, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Good study looking small unit, very discrete, good value for money, feel safe and secure now, even though it is only my cats movements caught so far!

Generally ok, video quality is decent. Movement sensors work great. However, the big downside is that sound capture is not really working and there are no settings for that in the app.

If you want a very disguised camera, this is your choice. It looks like a normal digital clock that you can position anywhere in the room. The set up is ever so easy and you have footage day and night. You can use an SD card or you can just have live feeds. It is up to you and your needs. The quality of the image is fantastic and you can have it even when the light is off. If you want to see how your babies are doing, how anyone working in your house is doing or if you have an elderly person at your care, this is a way to make sure you know if they are ok. The app is easy to download and use and the feedback from footage is ever so easy to get. Just make sure it is performing within your household WiFi and you will have what you want from this very versatile and productive item! It has made my life easier in just two minutes.

Needed to keep an eye on our dog sitter. Great item. Easy to set up and use. easy app to watch what is going on. You can get recordings from the footage. Great thing is people have no idea that there is a camera on it. Simply looks like a digital clock. Nice smart design
