Great Hiding Spot for Litter Box, but not the smell
It looks great an matches the furniture in mu home office beautifully The top is sturdy and I use it for a 3d printer. Downside, if you have an older cat, don't bother, the entry hole is so high that even with the add on tray it is way to high for an aging cat, It has rear ventilation but they did not make them for the standard size litter box filters on the market. My biggest complaint, there is no easy way, if you cat takes a poop, the smell seems to funnel out of the main opening, and don't breath in when you open the doors to scoop litter, even if you scoop everyday, it just holds the smell. I would say don't by this unless you have a really good automated litterbox and younger cats.

Does what it should, a bit pricey
I like this product. I just wish it was a bit cheaper... but maybe, it should be more expensive. I'll go into detail.I think my cat understands Newtonian physics. That and she can't be bothered to change how she gets out of her litter box. She will use it to enter the litter box but will NOT use it coming back down. I think she has an understanding that just standing on it she isn't putting much stress on it. So she'll step on it and enter the litter box. However, I think she understands she can't afford the extra acceleration from landing on the catch on the way out and maybe she's afraid she'll break it. Therefore she'll take a leap to the avoid landing on the catch on the way down.I hear litter going in when she exits this product, which is good and it is easy enough to empty the little bit of litter it gathers, but I wonder how much more I'd get in the catch if she'd just adjust and step down out of the litter box onto it. However she just can't be bothered to step out onto the catch for some reason. Very odd.

As advertised and works as intended
It comes assembled so you just inbox and place on the floor and the cat immediately began walking across it; I didn’t have to coax her at all. It scoots around a lot so I wish there was a better way to attach it other than placing on the ground. The slot to empty out the litter is great and makes cleaning easier. The only thing I really didn’t like was that the holes tend to grab any material and snag little pieces such as when I am wiping it down. The dog did walk across this and broke it since it’s thin wood and honestly not mean for a large dog; I would have appreciated it to be a dark stronger plastic or the thicker wood such as the frame so that it would last longer.

A great addition to match furniture style litter boxes.
This is a great litter mat because it doesn’t look like a litter mat. Most are one tiered, with little nibs on it to try and catch the litter, but once it’s there, it’s painfully obvious and you have to clean it anyway. Not so with this one. This is a sleek, dark mat with slats in the top that allow litter to fall through. The mat has raised edges if the litter falls off, but does not go through the slats. You can easily tap it into the mat by agitating it a little. The color is a nice espresso, or a very dark, nearly black, brown color. The whole piece is finished in a varnish that likely makes wiping it down to sanitize it much easier. The bottom of the mat has a small square that you can rotate to dump the caught litter out. It opens easily and is only located in one corner. In all, I bought this to match my espresso ecoFlex enclosed litter box. The color doesn’t precisely match, but it is very very close (this is due to ecoFlex’s “espresso” meaning “flat black” and is of no fault of the Refined Feline). It matches the room, it catches the litter, and it makes cleanup easier. I recommend this completely.

A Must Have for the Refined Feline Litter Box but Beware of Carpet Discoloration
I bought this litter catch to accompany the Refined Feline Litter Box. It works just like it says in the description. It catches massive quantities of litter that I just dump back in the box every so often. It has a little sliding door on the bottom which makes it incredibly easy to empty out either in the garbage can or back in the box. I have the litter box on carpet and the catch saves me from having to vacuum all the time. The construction of both the catch and the litter box are much better than other ones I have bought and thrown away. It will last for more than many years with a little care.Update 5/13/17 After owning the litterbox and litter catch for a year it is still working wonderfully at it's purpose. HOWEVER the finish of the box AND catch has discolored my beige carpet underneath. There is a yellowed mark under the rim of the catch and the rim of the box leaving two square-shaped discolorations in the carpet. I do not know if other color finishes would result in the same problem. This could have been avoided had I had the foresight to put down a hard plastic barrier between the box and carpet (such as used for rolling office chairs on carpet). While I do not plan on moving the box and will likely replace the carpeting in coming years, I am not too put out by this flaw. However, I could see this being a huge problem if this had ruined a new carpet where it would be visible to all. Changed my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars simply because of discoloration. Aside from that (pretty big) flaw, the litter box and catch are the best I have had in 19 years of having furry feline friends.

Want to look down on all those with ghetto rubber mats shaped like paws? Here you go.
Works as it is supposed to, assuming your cat doesn't prefer to leap from the box to the other side of it. Realistically, there is probably always going to be some litter on your floor if you have a cat. There's no way around it.One minor thing is that it is the same width as the refined litter box, but does not have the same rounded top edge, which means that if they are both pushed up against the wall, the catch will appear to stick out slightly. If you're not OCD, this will probably not be noticeable. If you are, pull the refined litter box out an eighth of an inch and all is solved.Another less minor thing is the method for emptying it. Instead of having the grate removable, they have a little trap door on the bottom. This means that you will never be able to clean out the interior should the unspeakable happen to be sprayed all over it and dribble down inside. Power washer at 10' - maybe? Design flaw - definitely.

Don't bother, save your money
An unnecessary item that peels very quickly when cleaned or rinsed. In the case of my fur babies one of them thought it was another litter pan & a great place to pee, but not get her feet dirty.Save your money!

Difficult to clean
Clumping litter becomes stuck on the bottom and does not shake out through the small hole on the bottom. How are you supposed to clean this when there is no way to fully open and pull out the tray?
