I bought this Dashboard Mounting Stand to hold my iPad Mini in my dash because our new minivan didn't come with built-in GPS--they wanted $1800 for factory-installed navigation, but my iPad Mini has maps and was only $500, plus it's removable, it has other apps, etc. This Dashboard Mounting Stand is actually a well made product with lots of adjustment points to make a perfect fit in multiple positions and mounting situations, BUT there's one significant design flaw, right at the point where the swivel arm detaches from the big holder bracket. The two main issues are:1. If you swivel the bracket sideways (as pictured), your device is NO LONGER CENTERED on the arm, so it becomes off-balance and side-heavy. Which leads to...2. The bracket EASILY detaches from the swivel mount with only a minimal amount of pressure, so your device will end up on the floor with only a very small (1/8 inch) sideways nudge.It appears that GRAVITY would best hold the two pieces together with no problem, so as long as you keep the bracket swiveled UPRIGHT it should stay in place. No big deal, except that the bracket is actually a half inch too big to hold an iPad Mini in landscape mode, so you HAVE TO mount the bracket on the top and bottom edges, and therefore it's off-balance and detaches easily.If your device is bigger than an iPad Mini and can be mounted with the bracket turned in the UPRIGHT position, I think this Mounting Stand would work just fine. Otherwise, you could just SUPERGLUE the bracket and the swivel mount together, but of course then you would eliminate the easy bracket removal feature...

I use this in my SUV to have a bigger map as navigation. It's been working fantastical for an entire year. The only issue I have is the suction cup could be a little deeper/stronger. The rubber pads on the arms that hug the table come off after some use, specially if you take your table on/off every day. It does seem to work fine without the rubber pads and one could easily replace them should they become dislodged (they will).Overall a very good mount for the money. The extra support on the arm is what makes this much better than other mounts out there. You do have to have a relative flat surface for this mount to work, in my case it works like a charm. Holds my 10" tablet in place just fine.

This could be a bit sturdier and the suction cup need improving first. It will hold a tablet to the dash as long as you don't apply the brakes too hard. We use a tablet for a GPS and want it visible on the dash. So something a little heavier would be better.

This is a very sturdy holder for my iPad Air. I use my iPad as a navigation display, using RV Co Pilot navigation software, from AKA Techknoglies. I also purchased a stand alone GPS receiver, as my iPad does not have a internal GPS.This mounting bracket has many adjustable knobs, and the suction mount is very strong and I used a round plastic disc screwed into the dash, for the suction mount to attach to. I personally highly recommend this mount, I feel that my iPad is very secure on our RVs dash

When I got this mount I loved it. I have had it for around 6 months now and the suction / adhesive cup just snapped off of it with out any thing touching it. The iPad wasn’t even on it.

Not overwhelmed by this thing. It’s kind of big and and not easy to get it just right. It does work though so if appearance and setup are not important, this will do the job.

The suction cup will not hold but about a day on a clean windshield. We bought to mount a tablet in our fire engine and on rough calls, it will fall off.

I bought this for my mobile phone. It's a Note 8 in a heavy duty case (Love Mei), so regular cell phone mounts are too small. Additionally, here in Texas, most suction cups and adhesives don't last long in the heat. This has been going strong for 4 months now.

Cant really work on dash board of my car.
