Earphones reborn!
I've had my trusty Sony MDR-V6 headphones for long enough for the pads to be, well, 'a bit worn,' as shown in the first photo. Rather than cast them off or sell them (more likely, give them away), I figured I'd try these replacement pads. While I can't speak to their durability, as I just put them on, I can say that they are definitely very comfortable, and very much worth their modest price. (I should note that I was pleasantly surprised that the package contained a rebate voucher in exchange for posting an unbiased review, which this is.)I kid you not, you need to be patient and persistent to install these... but that would be true for any replacement pads for these earphones. The back of the pads is attached to a circle of flexible something (TPU?) which stretches so that you install the pads over the plastic rims. The challenge is that this piece slides into a narrow groove in the pad frame, which ends up being parallel to the pads.Start by inserting one end (or one side) of this 'collar' into the slot, then hold that in place while you continue around the rim, sliding in more as you go. It might be work using a spring clamp to hold the origin in place; I have pretty large hands, and I definitely ended up going around the rim more than once to complete the installation. (If you don't have much patience, you might want to take a break before installing the second pad. :-) . )One you're 'done,' it's worth reviewing the entire circumference and 'fixing up' places where the material is folded over and not completely in the groove; remember, you're only going to do this once, and you may as well do it right. On one of the pads, it ended up a bit rotated; it's not hard to rotate it back to the proper position, narrow across the top and bottom and long on the sides. If you have an older pair of headphones with plenty of life left in them, I do recommend these. Note that I can't compare them to others, as this is my first experience replacing pads.

High Quality for an Amazing Price
Hopefully, my review will be a unique view of these replacement ear pads. I've had the Sony MDR-7506 headphones for years for recording and listening to my own music. Recently I started recording again and noticed the original Sony earpads were disintegrating and not isolating the sound anymore. I wanted to record that day so I just ran out to Guitar Center and bought a new set of Sony MDR-7506. The old headphones worked, just the ear pads were ripped.A few weeks later I saw these replacement ear pads on Amazon and ordered them. I figured I could salvage my old set and use them too. After struggling a little with putting the new earpads on the old set, I compared the brand new headphones to the old ones with the new ear pads. They're EXACTLY THE SAME. They are just as comfortable, just as sealed, same tone, everything. Oh, I got them delivered the next day too. I'm very satisfied with these. A little tip: after installing them, twist them around a little to make sure the oval of the pads matches the oval of the headphones. A little off can make a difference.

A snug fit during installation and exceptional sound quality as an end result
The quality of the replacement ear cushion materials compares favorably with the original Sony ear cushions. The replacement ear cushions are very comfortable and the sound quality is comparable to the original ear cushions. When replacing the ear cushions on the Sony MDR-7506 headphones, I recommend proceeding as follows:1. Remove the old ear cushions observing how the cushions fit into the groove on the headphone.2. Starting at the curved top of the headphone near the headband, work the replacement cushion into the headphone groove.3. Work your way around the earpiece making sure the replacement cushion fits into the headphone groove.NOTE: You will have to stretch the material slightly to make it fit into the headphone groove.4. Complete the installation with the groove on a long side (non-curved area) of the headphone.5. Total installation time should be between 5 to 10 minutes to replace both ear cushions.Overall, I am very pleased with the, fit, durability and sound quality of the replacement ear cushions and can recommend these as a suitable replacement for the Sony MDR-7506 headphones.

Easy installation, comfortable housing, seemingly sturdy construction
I've only just received and installed these headphone cushions but my first impressions are great! They came with no instructions, but it's self explanatory so that's not too big of an issue. The material of the ear pads seems genuinely strong. I stress tested them a bit by pulling from both sides and didn't notice any stretching (other than a little give) or damage to the material. The soft pad is slightly less thick than the originals, but overall blocks sounds just as well. The pad fit my MDR-7506's well, and installation took only a few minutes. Just stretch the backing over your headphones and use something thin to push the material into the inner-wall of the ear pad holder on the headphones.Sound quality is unaffected, with my favorite album playing well and sounding just the same as before. Upon receiving these pads, I used them for a 4 hour work session and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. The temperature is also fine--my ears didn't sweat from the material.Overall great product. I will probably update my review in a few months time to let you know how they perform under wear and tear over time. We'll see.
