Can you please confirm if this has that?** A: The valve is actually telescopic and so extendable to the required height of pretty much any cistern. If you look closely at the image you will see that the lower portion of the valve is narrower and fits inside the upper portion. You can take a small clip out of the assembly middle and then raise or lower the top section to make it exactly right for the cistern that you are fitting it to. I believe you will find this a suitable replacement for just about any bottom entry valve. I fitted it to a modern dual flush cistern that was only a year old (very hard water area so the original clogged) and it works a treat. Hope that helps. **Q: I have a top flush cistern with old ball cock filler can I take all that out and this would work??** A: I replaced an old ball cock with one of these. However mine was faulty and did not fully close off the water when the cistern was full so caused an overflow. I ended up getting a similar thing from Wickes. **Q: Is the water meant to come out of the spout at the top, as the one we have just fitted it seems to fill through the body?** A: No the water does not come out of the spout, I'm not even sure what the spout is for. Slimline cistern but plenty of space, brass inlet pipe is offset and can be used with inlet hole close to wall of cistern (see pic).Measure the height from the floor of the cistern to the top of your overflow pipe and adjust the height of the fill valve accordingly, aim for the CL line/overflow nozzle to be about 1" above the level of the overflow pipe. I found it easier to adjust before install.Note: the overflow tube that runs between the fill valve and the overflow pipe is not included here, make sure to keep the existing one when installing.Hand tightening the fixing nut was enough for a good seal, the tapered rubber washer is good quality. Note that the fixing nut has side flanges to help with tightening, but they do not extend above the level of the nut, so if your fitting is inside a recess you may struggle to fit fingers between the nut and the recess wall, but as a standard size you can use the old one if it is easier to tighten.All in all, great product; simple to fit, quiet fill operation and great value, would buy again! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just buy this one *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 28 August 2025* Don't even look at other replacement valves just buy this one. We self built our house over thirty years ago and have four loos. Every time an inlet ball valve has perished I've replaced it with similar with its little arm and float and they can be a little bit of a faff to fit and adjust and those in the two more regularly used loos never seem to last long. So when the valve in the main bathroom went again I replaced it with similar from the local plumbers merchants trade counter and in doing so, ham fisted me broke the arm mechanism. So I searched Amazon as I needed it quickly and my local trade counter was now closed for the weekend. Saw this one amongst the usual suspects and thought it looked a bit more advanced and robust but competively priced I so bought it with next day delivery. Easy to fit, easy to adjust and idiot proof.
