cables always better deal on amazon
i was apprehensive buying this cause i needed it to charge my camera not for data transfer. some people were saying it would not charge. for me to it did nothing at first, but i left it in anyway and at some point is started. i guess when your battery is dead as a door knob, it takes a little time for the show to get going....

Works For My Coolpix 3200
Purchased this cable to transfer images from the camera without having to remove the memory card, it gets the job done on Linux computers. You'll need to have either the DigiKam, gThumb or Camera.app software installed for it to work with linux. I assume it will work just as well with software available for download from the Nikon website to use with a Windows OS or Mac.

works exactly as advertised
I have an ancient Nikon Coolpix 3200 which I haven't been willing to get rid of.Could not find the cable for it anywhere. The cable I ordered from Amazon workedgreat.

Does not fit Coolpix L10
It's listed as compatible with the L10 but it does not fit. Nikon has some approved dealers on their site, that sell Nikon branded cords, one of them who sells on here, has the "Nikon UC-E6 Cable" at a very reasonable price.I will say the quality of the cable is not in question, it seems like a very nice cable.I have another super cheap replacement cable I got for my old Olympus and it works great. This one just doesn't fit.I'm waiting on instructions for returning it to the dealer.

replaced lost cable
This cable replaced another cable that was lost or misplaced. It worked fine the only time I have used it since I got it.

Excellent product at a very good price
Bought a package of 2 cables at a very good price. It was shipped fast and they work well. Now I have an extra cable that I can keep at home and one that I carry with me.

Works great with Nikon D5000
I left my original cable at home when travelling to San Francisco for a couple of months. Got this and its perfect. Now I cannot spot the difference between this and the original that came with the camera.

Was longer and made it easier to use. Was not afraid my expensive camera would accidentally fall off my work area ( small table ) were I have my comupter
