I must say that I was very skeptical about this radio at first due to the speaker grill looking different than another I've seen. I feared It was going to be a fake. It was nothing at all like that, in fact, over looking it on Wouxun's website I noticed that they made two different versions of this radio, one with holes and the other with lines in the speaker grill. No fake here and yes, it is a true KG-UV9D plus. Loaded with features. Though the description doesn't indicate this radio comes with car charger, it does. The only downside I have about this radio so far is the screen could be a bit brighter. I hope to have this radio apart of my collection for many years to come. Now it feels much better knowing I don't have to miss a call over the radio while i'm transmitting. Many thanks to the seller. It's good to finally have a radio that transmits in the 512 Mhz area though It would have been nicer being able to transmit the 700 and 800 as well. Looking closely at the back of the radio with the battery off, I noticed the seller have engraved their name onto It as a added bonus. I will gladly do business with them again and again. Update 1/20/2019. I bought the bigger 3200 mAh battery pack to use as my main battery with my radio. Though I haven't had it long enough to review how long the battery last, I most certainly can say that it makes the Wouxun KG-Uv9D Plus feel so much better in my hands and look good as well. I don't know if it's the battery or me, but every since I been using this battery the audio of the radio seems even more clearer. This battery is a must have. Now I don't have the fear of the radio falling over because with this thicker battery came better support for the radio being able to free stand on any flat surface. Big thanks going out to both the seller and Wouxun for such a awesome battery pack. In fact, I like this battery so much that I don't want to look at the original one that came with my radio. I might re-box it and buy another one of these as a spare. This battery is just that great this far. This battery also comes complete with a belt clip with screws. If you don't do yourself a favor, do your radio a favor and pick up on one of these batteries, you to will be glad you did. Happy shopping.

The radio itself seemed to work well however, if you intend to use this in the sunlight, you literallycannot read the display until you return to a darker area. I had to return it for this reason , whatgood is a programmable radio whose display you cannot see in sunlight. I live in Arizona, we get morethan our share of extremely bright sunshine here. My much cheaper Baofengs have better displays thanthis Wouxon does. Now if you do most of your work at night, this should not be a problem.

I got this Transceiver as I became aware of the limits withthe first radios I had purchased (brand name not important).This is a very satisfying, well designed and well built device. It is a winner.Easy to program too. The repeater function is a feature.KL4VB BP51bd 2m -70cm

I have had other Wouxun radios that worked well, but this one failed miserably. In three months the PTT buttom stopped working, but you could use the microphone. Now is keys itself and blocks all other users with open channel.There is not way to get is serviced or worked on to be found.DO NOT BUY WOUXUN RADIOS ANY MORE. THEY HAVE NO RECOURSE IF THEY FAIL. WASTE OF MONEY.

Buy the programming software when you get the radio. It's easier than manual programming it...

Well it was a neat radio while it lasted. Have had it about 6 to 9 months of gentile use and the receiver has gone almost totally deaf, trans still works great but with no locatable service its a throw away.
