She gets to quietly stretch and squeeze this stuff without disrupting her brother (or me!) while they do homeschool, have bible study, read, etc. I also have enjoyed playing with this stuff. I remember playing with Silly Putty as a little girl but this is soooo much more exciting and pretty to look at! It doesn't dry out although it appears to be sloooooowly shrinking. I could be wrong. No complaints overall.
