This stuff has worked for me, after having complications from being on birth control for too long, I decided to stop taking the pill and only use these. I keep track of my periods and ovulation dates and only use these during ovulation after intercourse. My husband also pulls out every time, and that may be tmi, but that is how we have prevented pregnancy. I do not honestly believe that if you are not using these measures that this would be as effective as it has been for me. I have purchased these multiple times, they last a long time if you are only using them during your ovulation dates. I have been using these for probably at least two years and no pregnancy scares. The directions say to use them before and after intercourse but I only use them after, but I am in a stable relationship and am not really afraid of getting pregnant, just not ready yet. Again, if you absolutely do not want to get pregnant I would use as recommended.

Not effective when used on it's own, according to the pregnancy test I just took. Sorry, ladies :(

Never had an accidental pregnancy in the 10+ years I have been using this product and never hadn’t a problem conceiving every time I have stopped using it. Easy, quick, lasts for at least 3 hours before intimacy. Doesn’t “ruin” the mood.

These are insanely convenient and work well! I use these in conjunction with a non-hormonal IUD(yeah, we're not messing around with pregnancies) and haven't had any issues. The only 'con' I see is that once you use this while having sex, oral is impossible and not recommended...not only does this stuff not taste good, but it numbs your tongue... We tried lol learn from our mistake! 😂

Maybe this product works for some women, but for me the experience was quite bad. While using the product, everything seemed great because I couldn't feel a difference while having sex (and it was easy to use). I used two within a period of 12 hours, one each time we got busy, as the instructions said, but then early the next morning (I woke up around 5am) I had immense pain in my abdomen, almost like my ovary was rupturing. the pain subsided and I figured it was just a weird woman experience, as we sometimes have. But the following day I started spotting abnormally (and I never have spotting in the middle of my cycle; I also confirmed a week later with a pregnancy test that it is also not implantation bleeding) which lasted about four days. I went to planned parenthood yesterday and the doctor told me I have a yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis (very common infection) and said it is likely because I used spermicide; she also said I shouldn't use it anymore because it can cause me to have these conditions in the future and exclaimed she wishes that it had never been invented (which I thought was a very strong assertion to make, especially given a doctor's usual desire for patients to have as many options as possible). So again, this may work for some people, but I had a very bad reaction to shoving this stuff inside me and I would not advise other women to use this product because it is probably bad for vaginal health. I put two stars because while I had a bad experience, it seems other people did not (for whatever reason, maybe I am more sensitive to such products, I don't know) and there are many versions of this type of product out there so I feel hesitant to knock this type of birth control method outright.

If you are not a fan of the feel of condoms, this is absolutely the best way to go. Obviously there is no protection from STDs/STIs so only use with a partner you are monogamous with.

Love it. Been using along with natural family planning since birth of our son! He's 17 months now and haven't gotten pregnant.

I have used this contraceptive for the past 10 years. It is quick and easy to use.
