Free shipping, 5 stars!
With that free shipping they almost had my $40,000!... until I realized that diamonds are crystalline carbon based, and glass is amorphous, Si based. Looks like that $40,000 materials engineering degree paid off after all!

Not worth the money, at all..
I have been purchasing speakers all of my life, and I can tell you that these speakers are not bad at all. They sound great, but not for the money. When you're paying this much money, you are expecting amazing sound. The product looks amazing, but it is still not worth the money. My Mackie HR8 Studio monitors sound cleaner than these speakers. No doubt. I know a lot about speaker placement, because speaker placement is what makes or breaks the sound quality. At the most ideal conditions, and recommended speaker placement, these speakers didn't come close to what I was expecting to hear. Again, these sound great, and you will not be disappointed, but if you're a sound buff like me, you'll know these speakers aren't worth more than $1000 a pair. The glass on the other hand....now that's a different story. You're paying for the look, the glass, and the labor behind it. That's it....We all want flat sounding speakers at the end of the day, speakers that don't lie, that are accurate, and very articulate. Studio monitors with a sub will do for me. <---oh, and if you ever get a speaker system, monitors, whatever...don't be cheap about your cables. Whether you're using RCA, 1/4 inch TRS, or XLR cables, always purchase 24k Gold tip, balanced and shielded cables for maximum sonic clarity. Mogami cables are #1Do not purchase this thinking you're getting the best sound. You're not.

Great for bathrooms or storage sheds, not so great as a fish tank
I was shopping for some speakers for my basement bathroom and I ran across these babies. Space is a 6' x 8' room, concrete floors, nearly finished sheet rock. Although most people would not consider this space a bathroom mainly because it has no shower, but since it does have a mop sink, really bout it, and I can take a leak in it I do consider it to be a bathroom. Now on to my review. First think I noticed was lack of sound, this problem was quickly corrected by tech support when they advised me to connect an amp to them, who would have thunk it. Now I have the best amp that the Wall-mart store carried, I used pure copper wire for speaker cables. I had an old dryer and deiced to put the motor winding to good use. This cable is not insulated so the sound isn't distorted in any way. Plastic coated wire will add resistance, and you don't want that my friends. At volume 10 on my 35 watt Colby amp these towers have all kinds of distortion. The highs, well me takin a leak in the plastic mop sink next to them sounds about the same. The mid range, basically non existent. The bass, well lets just say I can produce more about 6 hours after I have been through the Taco Bell drive thru. Before I finished the break in period one of these bad boys got knocked over and shattered. Amazon would not take it back due to the fact it was broken. So I took the speakers out of the good one, dropped in my gold fish and a few plants. The fish looked amazing until I decided to to add the neon light. Turns out I should have not put the charger in the water, who knew a little electric current would harm fish, Oh well. I have ordered 10 more pair of these to make sure I did not get a defective pair. I will update as soon as they come in. I am really hoping I did not waste nearly $620,000.00. I could have put that money to good use, like a large golden egg for the front yard!!! The good speaker I had left is now in my shed. I placed it face down in the rafters, toward the dirt thinking maybe the bass response would be improved. However it was not, tech support said I needed both towers. Ill let you guys know how the next 10 sets work. I am a waiting a 1000 watt Pyle amp to test these with, just for comparison. I would hate to think the Colby I bought was bad to. I mean what is this world coming too!!!

The speakers are great! They go well in my bedroom
The speakers are great! They go well in my bedroom. The only issue I have is that they take a lot of windex to keep clean. Also the base shattered my bed frame.

They are no $75,000 speakers for sure!
These speakers sound no better then $10k speakers. Also, for those of us who look at what some think of as expensive, Amazon is definanlty the way to go for this type of purchase. Excuse me while i do a search for a private jet or a yacht to put these things in.

Finally!
I just noticed there are no used ones for sale. There is always that joker who has the most expensive album on the new/used list. Led Zeppelin 4 for like $1900 bucks, just on the odd chance some rich douche trust fund kid might buy it, I think the seller of these speakers us that guy. However at 40 large, I could buy hookers and crack for a year, use my ipod (ok my Zune) and come out feeling like I did just egg screwed, but happier.

You are paying for....
Yo people..Dont get so bent out of shape. You are paying for the diamond glass. The speakers are only $119.00 per pair. I bought a pair of these beauties for my gameroom, and they certainly looked great, but unfortunately they didn't sound any better than my old Cerwin Vega speakers so I sent them back..The company called and gave me a hard time, but eventually I got my monies back. I am an investment banker who has been very lucky with investments and also an audiophile, so I wanted to buy something special just to say that I could actually afford something so outrageously expensive. Again, the speakers sound good, but certainly not worth the price (MY OPINION)..The diamond glass certainly looks great though..
