Well Worth The Wait !!!
This and Poco's "Ghost Town" are the first 2 I've purchased from Culture factory and I am Pleased beyond words. The sound quality beats anything I've heard to date and I've been singing Rock Candy's praises... up until now! My main concern was put to rest immediately and that was...If it's packaged in card board, how much care did they really put into sound. Buyers know this, The Card Board used is high quality as well...much better than the original vinyl CB. It will last if taken care of. Rock Candy is still very good, but now Culture Factory is my "go to" label. I have the original CD of TOTO IV and if you own it too you know the production was very crisp and clear and sharp. I bought this mainly for the whole "Mini-Album" experience and as I stated...Pleased beyond words!!! For those of us who grew up on vinyl...this is a true vinyl replica meaning..... the full richness of "ALBUMS" that has ben absent for so long is back, thanks to Culture Factory! God Bless and Enjoy!!!

Great album, disappointing remaster
I'm a huge fan of Toto IV. To me this was their absolute best effort, bar none. I've waited for a long, long time for a decent remaster on this great album, but unfortunately, this isn't it. . Compression helps reveal subtle details but at the expense of balance, realism, and dynamics. This version is a victim of the Loudness Wars. . The EQ is bright and fatiguing and in your face, with no bass. . Everything sounds squashed and flat with no dynamic range. . The music doesn't breathe. There's no "air" and no depth. . This version is good for background listening but not for serious listening.Simply A/B-ing this CD with the original makes it obvious that whoever did this remaster was not familiar with the original at all. If you're not a fan of dynamics and want a flat, uninspiring listening experience, you may like this. I don't.

This is the quality Culture Factory should strive for in all of their remasters. It rocks!
Great remaster! They did everything right on this one. This recording has never sounded better.Hey Culture Factory. How about doing the same thing for Kansas?

Excellent remaster, dynamic range improved
Excellent remaster, dynamic range improved, Porcaro's drums and the bass are a highlight of this remaster, as well as the clear vocals.

Good update with reservations
I bought this as I wanted to know what the remastered sound would be like. It's impressive and you can hear a lot of information from the disc but it has been made a little bass-heavy. To make sure I also purchased the Rock Candy remaster and found this far less dominated by the bass. I have a slightly lightweight amplifier that does not emphasize the bass as it can ruin everything so if i hear a lot of bass it's probably been beefed up a fair bit. In all, go for the Rock Candy remaster instead - I am probably in a minority these days with the bass levels!

The remastering is phenomenal!!!
I'm not a big TOTO fan. But I always liked the song "Africa". So I bought TOTO IV on cd a few years ago but was not happy with the sound quality. It sounded poor, thin and without any volume. It was not an invitation to discover the other songs. When I heard that Culture Factory would release a remasterd version I had no doubts about buying it again. I already own a few releases of that record company so I knew they would do a wonderful job. And it really is amazing!! It's like listening to a completly different record! That's how good it is!And I can't understand that a big record company (as I believe Sony is) was not able to release a remasterd edition of TOTO IV in the past. A shame, really a shame!!This is the definitive remasterd version of TOTO IV. Although the price on Amazon is way to high.

Toto 4 never sound better - 2014 Remastered version
Wow! Just wow.I love this album and it has been a favourite of mine for years. One thing I always wished for was a remastered version as the original recording is rather poor. Well, my wish has finally come true and I wasn't prepared for how amazing this new version sounds. I am discovering things in each song I just couldn't hear before. All the instruments sounds alive and exciting. If you love Toto 4 and you are looking for the ultimate version. Then this my friends is it!Buy it now, you won't be disappointed. This was based on the 2014 Remastered version.

Excellent sound.
Whilst they've certainly improved the sound if this classic album by a long way, the 'vinyl replica' did not include any additional content or even a booklet, which, for the price, is a bit of a rip off.
