Out of the box experience is HORRIBLE. Windows can not download a proper driver, it trys to use one from 2016. Research showed it uses an RTL8157 chipset and all you have to do is download the driver from Realtek themselves. Went from 1.5gig up and down to 4.75gig which is basically max because of software overhead and blah blah blah. If you absolutely have to have full 5gig. You need to get a 10gig unit. It functions absolutely fine, been playing all day on multiplayer games with zero issues. I have 5gig up and down with ziply fiber. 4ms ping across the board.
