Strong walnut 16'' knife magnetic strip no screw, 3M VHB adhesive mount

Product looks nice and holds my light knives. Will not hold heavy cleavers (will slide off) or large steak knives. Was very easy to install but had to redo the adhesive backing with a 3m product after a week. When replacing the adhesive I noticed that the wood block was warped. Was able to stick back up after filling the back with all new tape. Hope will hold up but will look for a replacement in the meantime.

The 16" magnetic bar has the same number and size of sticky strips as the 12" bar - 4 in total, giving it the same adhesion. I was under the impression that the longer bar would hold more knives than the short one, but it can't hold the weight. The bar sticks to a tile wall (scrubbed, clean and dry), but after 24-36 hours it falls off, taking all the knives with it. One of the knives even lost its tip in the fall!! Also, the magnets are placed intermittently in the bar, only allowing knives to be placed according to the spacing of the magnets instead of side by side as needed. The 12" bars (I ordered 2) have held up well, pointing to the fact that the adhesive is insufficient for the 16" bar. I do not recommend anything longer than a 12" bar from this merchant.

I was so excited to finally get one of these and free up some counter space. I’ve always liked the look and ease of these when I’d see them. I cleaned the surface, allowed plenty of dry time. It adhered well, and was super easy to put on my tile wall.It has since become unglued from the wall three times since I put it up. ( the night I received it)I am going to need to purchase additional adhesive stickers to re-mount it so it will stay securely on the wall.I do t think I have too many knives on it,(five) so I am a bit disappointed in the short life of the adherence it came with.

I am quite pleased with the appearance of this piece, however, the magnetic strength is not near what I was led to expect. The "adhesion" is hit and miss along the length of the bar - some knives stay put in some locations, but not in others - i.e. my 8" Santoku and 8" Chef knives only hold In certain spots - and even at that, they slide a little. The smaller, lighter weight knives also work only in certain areas, but in a longer span. Bottom line is that it works, but not as versatile as I was hoping for.

It was so nice at first, a week into using my knives on it they don’t stay on anymore. Certain parts of the strip work better than others which makes no sense and is super frustrating. I was really excited for this because of the way it sticks onto the wall and looks so nice. Really bummed, wish I could get a replacement

These were a little to week for my heavyer knives. My wusthof classic icon chef knife slippes right off. Holds my lighter knives ok but the magnets are spaced so you cant crowd the knives close together.

My boyfriend and I recently moved into a very small apartment with minimal counter space, so this knife magnetic strip helped us conserve the space our knife set was taking up, and now we are able to just grab the knife we want and use it! Definitely recommend. We did not use the adhesion strips and instead installed it with two screws, so I cannot speak to the adhesion capability.

I purchased 2 of these to hang on the back splash over my sink. I was hoping to free up counter space by replacing my bulky knife block. Unfortunately the magnets are not strong enough to hold my knives. They just slowly slid off. The knives are not even especially large or heavy. I returned them both and purchased one from Ikea that holds my knives very securely.
