Alkaline Water Filter Cartridge Replacement PH+10" Natural Mineral Increasing for Drinking RO Water System

I sell reverse osmosis units and water softeners for a large company however we don’t sell alkaline filters. I wanted to buy a filter that’s easy to install and actually works. There is no known health benefits to alkaline water, but if a customer really wants alkaline water I’m not going to argue.This item arrives with no instructions. However it is really straight forward whats needed for the installation. Shut off the water from your tank and filters. You need 1/4” tubing. If you have 3/8” you’ll need 2 adapters for the installation. You will also need 1-2 feet of 1/4” tube depending on your system. This filter is meant to go on the line leading up to your drinking water faucet. There is an arrow on the filter letting you know which direction to install it. You need to use plenty of teflon tape or this filter will leak. They are push connections so you cant go wrong. If you’ve never used PEX connections, ask the hardware store guys to show you.It will take about a gallon of water for the filter to start working. Filters have a break in period and this one is pretty quick.I would recommend this filter to someone who is dead set on alkaline water because it really does work, check the photos I posted to see. This filter did not raise my TDS (Total Disolved Solids) enough to make “mineral” water. Mineral water should be 100+ TDS and mine stayed at about 20. When it was a 14 before the filter. Hopefully this review helps. 1st 2 photos are before the alkaline filter TDS 14 and 6.8 PH which is very slightly acidic. The remaining photos show the progression of increasing alkalinity the more I used the filter. The last photo of 8+ ph was only after a gallon of water. I imagine the numbers will increase more after the filter media starts to break down more.

Didn't raise pH the slightest bit. Doesn't taste better. If anything, the water tastes like plastic now. Returning. Photo is pH before and after the filter installed after being used for 2 days.**Update**Water Filter Tech reached out and sent me a new filter. It came in the same box, but this one was wrapped in plastic (first one may have been returned?) The new one functions as expected and the pH is right.My advice, use more Teflon tape than you'd expect when installing adapters and test the water after you flush the filter.

My friend always told me how important water filter is. Now I believe so! I usually use the tap water into the water boiler, but the hot water case out with a weird taste which I don’t like! When I received this water filter, I cannot wait to try it. I added the filtered water into my water boiled, after I boiled, I tried the boiled water. No more weird taste! Wow!!!!! It is really amazing!This poduct came in a nice sealed package, with a box. I can buy this to my family and friends as gifts!With this alkaline filter, water is much better... and coffe and tea are tasty. For me this is a must have for RO water. I also feel much better to let my kids have hot cocoa with the boiled water:)

Teflon tape was needed on the threads(would leak without), which not everyone has or know how to use. Other than that installation was easy on my existing RO device. Flushing it and testing the device after installation show no improvement of pH or added dissolved content.(Baseline RO is TDS=15 pH=5.8) Testing used with electronic pH meter, TDS meterDay two showed some interesting results. Testing a glass of water(about 8oz) that had sat in the cartridge overnight showed a TDS of 200 and a pH of 9(basically the desired result). Taste was a metallic like taste.Next, I tested a sample size of about 32oz, showing a TDS of 60 and a pH 6.5Finally, i tested a sample of about a gallon, showing basically no improvements.I'll test again tomorrow, but I will most likely achieve similar results and will update.

I bought this filter hoping that it would increase the Ph at a satisfactory rate. Amazingly it was able to deliver 1 gallon at above 8 pH from a source of 5.50 (RO WATER). increasing three points of pH with small contact means is very good, also it comes with everything you need to install it on the spot and for the price it's the best solution, there are 2X,3X priced filters that are not that efffective.

For health

While there are many health reasons to use a cartridge like this, the taste pleases everyone. The comment I hear most often from the guest is "Taste like really good bottled water"

Bought this to place on the outlet of our under sink RO system. It Has been installed for about 3 months now and has not changed final PH level at all. PH was checked daily in the morning before each first use for the first month and then once weekly for the last 2 months. Great concept, but doesn’t work.

I got this filter to have real alkaline water, installed under my sink test the PH a few days after using the alkaline number is 8.0 to 8.1 my tap water is 7.8-8.0.usually the real alkaline water to be good is 9.0-9.5.also test is really salty.I am going to return this product.wast my money and time.

We installed this on our sailboat after the Acuva water system and our measurements we as follows TANk water 7.85 Filtered 10.20 and bottled water was 8.45 ph. Our TDS reading went up from 0046 to 0120 after this filter.
