Great marking gauge with fine adjustment
This marking gauge works great. What sets it apart from other marking gauges is the fine adjustment. That is a very useful functionality, and the reason up upgraded from my previous marking gauge that did not have that. I am glad I did as it is now much faster to set the marking gauge with precision. Well built, quality materials used, good price.

Great for any marking application that requires precision.
Sharp, good micro-adjust, doesn't slip. Great for marking for hand cut dovetail depth, or anything.

Nice in the hand
Sturdy and well made. A little lash or looseness in the screw thread micro adjuster (as others have noted) but not too bad. Works well.

Micro adjust is great
I bought this to go with one that I bought a while ago. The first one doesn't have the micro adjust and is not as easy to make fine adjustments. This one is much better for that. Get this one and don't bother with the base model.

Does the most important part of a marker.
I bought this because the last one was off in the measurements..but so is this one? From some of my research people don't rely on these things for measurements and markings... just the markings.measurements of 1/16" off is a lot for this or any small measurement tool.It also has 2 fastening knobs and a micro adjustment??I just want to mark it and go on.And if you unscrew this micro adjustment too much it comes off the micro adjustment sleeve?I'm not returning another one, I just wanted to let all know that if you get one for $20 or less and it locks well and marks , you have what you need, but keep an adjustable square for measurements or measure the mark with the wood you are working with as your guide.I'm just starting with this wood stuff as an interest in my retirement, but I want to save another beginner some grief. But it marks ok , and they give you extra blades...so? It will give an even line mark on wood.
