Fun
This is a fun and simple Pokémon game that has new ball throwing mechanics instead of battles. It’s a cute change.

Great game for my six year old!
My son looooves this game. It is the perfect difficulty level for him and it's helping improve his reading skills to boot! He is an avid pokemon fan and loves being able to use a "real" pokeball. The ball is iiiiitty bitty though (which well.. works for his hands, not so much mine lol). There are two controls on the ball, the top of the ball opens and closes the main menu while the joystick moves your character and pushing the stick "selects" Unfortunately for some things you will still need to use the normal controller for (like pressing Y to sort your pokemon) as far as I can tell anyways, there's no "y" on the ball. Your pokemon still have stats and things like that but kids really don't need to pay attention to them, my kid picks his favorite pokemon and just uses them, he's already gotten 3 badges and if he has trouble he just switches to a pokemon that's stronger against that type (ie fire on a grass, electric on water ect). Your entire party will get exp though even if you've only used one pokemon in the battle. Catching pokemon in this version of the series is just like pokemon go (hence the name "let's go") where there's berrys and difficulty rings and you just "toss" the ball at the pokemon. I love that the pokemon are on the screen in this game, its way less annoying then the random battles. But gym battling/trainer battling hasn't changed. Overall I would definitely recommend this game for kids who have at least a 1st grade reading level or if you're willing to read along with them. This is a great "intro" to pokemon game for younger kids and kids who are/were super into pokemon go. Or really any pokemon fan who doesn't have outrages expectations of a casual "kids" game.

A beautiful remake of a classic...
...with some refreshing twists. This game brings back all my nostalgia from when i got PKMN Red, Blue, and eventually Yellow. Everything is rendered beautifully, and my partner pokemon, Pikachu, melts my heart every time i play with him.At first the lack of wild battles threw me for a loop, but i grew to enjoy just running in the field catching pokemon. Pokemon that i could actually see in the grass, so if i wanted to avoid battles, it became a weird game of bullet hell.If you want pokemon battles, all the trainers, Gym Leaders, Rocket Grunts and the Elite Four are still there waiting for you to challenge them. There's even a few Alola NPCs here and there. After beating the Elite Four, there's some post game content that will keep you hunting pokemon for a long time. 153 Master Trainer battles. The pokeball plus is a fun controller to use when playing, its got a button on Top (B), a joystick button (A) Motion controls (Shake for Y), the joystick, lights, and speakers. It's currently the only way to get Mew (151) in the game, but it was a fun purchase in the end. you can even take pokemon from Let's Go and take them for a walk. They will level up like crazy. DO NOT, however, buy the Pokeball Plus used. Buy it new so you are guaranteed to get Mew from it. You can only get Mew from the Pokeball Plus ONCE, after that, the ball is empty, no one can get a mew from that ball ever again. The simplified mechanics make the game easy to understand. No hold items, no abilities, no EVs/IVs (A concept i still struggle with) and just the gen 1 pokemon (plus Meltan and Melmetal for the people with Pokemon Go). All in all, this is a great game for anyone just starting out in pokemon. It's where the adventure started for a lot of us veteran players and a great start for new comers.

Great Twist on a Classic
This game is great and defies many negative expectations a lot of people have been propagating. Yes, it is a reimagining of the Kanto story which we have already seen a number of times. But clever twists on classic moments will breathe new life into the region. It is not just a nostalgia trip; it is fresh and exciting.Though catching instead of battling wild Pokémon was a controversial idea, it works well and helps newcomers realize quickly the reality of IV's - information that for too long was held and manipulated only by the most dedicated players, thus dealing crushing defeats to unsuspecting casual players. This game is much more upfront about any mechanics that might give a competitive advantage, which is a good thing. The soundtrack is lively and much better than the GBA interpretations, and seeing your Pokémon finally in HD is also something amazing. My only complaint at all about the game is the control options, which admittedly are quite limiting. Aside from that, I love this game - and having played video games since 1998, I can honestly say it is my favorite.

Pokemon como deve ser
O jogo é excelente. Uma entrada inovadora no pokemon, com conectividade integral com o game mobile. Jogar con a pokebola é bem interessante e intuitivo. Um excelente remake do prineiro jogo da franquia.

Really Fun!
This is a really fun game! Based on the first gen games, but with updated graphics and mechanics, it feels just like a refresh should. While there is something disappointing about not battling pokemon in the wild, it's a relief to not be constantly worrying about getting to pokecenters or running out of moves. And the catching system with battling for legendaries and other special pokemon is how catching pokemon should have been from the beginning. The pokeball plus is well worth the extra money, especially if you also play Pokemon Go. Placing a pokemon in the ball for a stroll basically allows you to cheat in both games, as you gain massive experience for the pokemon in Let's Go, and auto spin pokestops in Go. And it's super cute and fun. :)

Genial

Fun return to Kanto. The ball is a must.
The game is a fun return to kanto with Go like mechanics. You only battle trainers and just catch wild ones. It removes the stress for a more relaxing Pokemon with a nostalig feel. Great for new players or fans of the first set of games. The Ball Plus is amazing for Pokemon go and it adds to leveling and items in the game to a crazy level that would take a long time with just the game to do.
