There are various training tools on the market, some better than others. This in my opinion is one of the better ones, although it gives a physical reminder to your pet there is no shocking or other detrimental effect as such it is not cruel in any way. However, it still works as you would hope giving your pet that little reminder they sometimes need when you're trying to get their attention - I mean its a big wide world to a puppy or young dog and they sometimes don't ignore you on purpose, just something else gets their attention.The remote works at a reasonably good distance as well, so will work with an extended lead for example with no issues. Highly recommended for basic training.

Didn’t work for my dog, she didn’t even acknowledge the vibrations let alone respond in anyway, but this is just maybe my dog.

This is gentle but I still wouldn't use on a small dog. I'd recommend trying positive training methods first.

I’ve used a different types of these before. But I like this one. It’s very simple to use and small, so easy and comfortable to carry in your hand whilst also holding your dogs lead or poop bags.Very lightweight, doesn’t add much weight to your dogs collar. My dog seems to feel comfortable enough with it on, it doesn’t seem to bother her. My last one was a little big and had a tone and different vibration levels that I never used. So it’s nice to have one so simple. My sausage dogs a massive barker, at children, people and other dogs, so this is a great deterrent. If I press it literally just before she reacts, it breaks that focus cycle and helps her refocus her attention in me. Positive reinforcement didn’t work with her but this seems to work well, it’s a work in progress but she seems a little more confident around people and other dogs now, she’ll look at me and wait for her reward instead of getting anxious and barking when we seem a trigger.Would recommend
