Highly Disappointed!!
Very excited to get a good deal... but it turn to highly disappointing experience... would not seat properly into the socket... ok, I figured one could have this problem... but noooo... every single one of them had the same issue... they did not work on my '53 mercury. Quality control needs to be improved before selling anymore of these units!!! Will not recommend this product!!

Be aware before purchase, manufacturing issue!
Not overjoyed!! If you look close there is a flange at the top of the base connector, between the base and the LED bulb. This flange prevents the base from seating correctly, so that it can be turned in to lock into the retaining nubs and make the proper connection to the contacts within the socket. I did test the bulb out of the socket with a 12VDC source it does operate correctly, the issue IS the flange. I have only tried it on my vehicle, it has plastic sockets with contacts at the side and bottom. It may not be all sockets, I did not try it with metal sockets, which may be shorter. Be it known that there was no base left exposed when inserted in the socket, the flange bottomed out on the socket and would go no further, thereby no proper contact, no turning to lock it in as is with a 1157 bulbs.

Decent bulbs for your brake lights on your car or on your trailer
The parking light consumes 75mA, while the brake light consumes 230mA. When both are powered at the same time, it is still 230mA. Please note that these bulbs are polarity sensitive. The base has to be on the ground side, else they will not light up. I removed a star because the light intensity difference between the parking light and the brake light is not as easy to distinguish as with standard incandescent bulbs. It may cause drivers behind you to not easily see that you have applied the brakes.
