Intel X79 LGA2011 Motherboard for Xeon Processor
The motherboard works fine with a socket LGA2011 E5-2630 v2 Xeon processor. To make best use of it I put 4x4Gb 1600 ECC memory in the 4 slots. You can get this cheaper second hand than standard memory as it cannot be used by Intel I-core processors. I actually found IBM 16Gb 1600MHz sever memory new on eBay and paid £50 for it.The worst side of this MB is the manual. It deals with the bios but there is no board image of the actual board for reference. You should have built a system before as there is no support other than the 6 page sheet that come with the board.Unlike on most modern motherboards the drivers are out of date for Windows 10 and obviously there is no website to download the latest drivers as the MB is generic. You need to manually update all the motherboard drivers in device manager for Windows 10. Laborious but not difficult. Just click on each one and click update driver and if there is a better driver out there it will update. I started with the Windows 7 drivers and about 1/4 to 1/3 updated when prompted. System is stable and the PassMark performance test on the CPU was fast, quicker than an i-7 3xxx CPU and in line with what was expected for the Xeon CPU. This tells me the MB is fine and not hampering CPU performance. The memory write is about twice that of an i-7 3xxx which shows the dual channel memory function is supported.To sum up nice board but not for a beginner. There are plenty of cheap E5-26xx v2 processors out there and you will end up with something quicker than an older i-7 for everything except single thread applications. Probably a good number cruncher for engineering applications which I am using it for. Modern games are becoming multithreaded so they should work well.

Usb controller not working , correct drivers were not provided and no working drivers were available from manufacterurs , either its faulty and has not been declared prior to purchase or maybe you have a specific driver you failed to provide, please respond
