**Q: Does this draw any power when switched off?**
A: I guess it will draw few mA for 555 timer.

**Q: does this controller work in forward/reverse mode?**
A: no, not specifically.  For most types of DC motors, you could use an appropriately rated switch (DPDT rated for more than the amperage of the motor) to reverse polarity, and thus direction easily enough...

**Q: will this work on a car heater fan?**
A: No. It is not meant for that.

**Q: will this work as a dimmer for LEDs?**
A: If your leds are 12V DC led strip up to 5 amps,  then yes you can use it as a dimmer. In fact, there is a LED on the board for indication and its brightness shows the PWM duty cycle.

FANTASTIC ITEM! Great price! Works perfectly as described. I needed something to make a 3V DC motor run at a slower speed. Unfortunately I’m not well versed in electronics. I was going to ask someone on FB what to do. Then I thought of asking google AI what to use. It came up with this very controller. No instructions but super easy to install. The four terminals are clearly marked: Motor plus and minus, and Power source plus and minus. Your wires are screwed in with tiny screws and held firmly. Can’t be any easier! It’s small and doesn’t take up much room, and the control knob clicks when put turned off and on. There’s a pilot light showing when it’s on. Two for $7 with free Prime shipping! You can’t beat this!
