Review: Well designed - This is great - saves from having to buy ice blocks AND more importantly the homemade blocks last longer than bought ones. I have long suspected that commercial operators somehow pump air into their ice while it is freezing which makes it lighter and quicker to melt. The blocks from this mold are smaller than commercial ones but last longer, in the same cooler. The design is great, it has reinforcing so I can fill it and it holds its shape while I carry downstairs to the freezer (ie, doesn't collapse and get water all over the floor). Recommended

This is great - saves from having to buy ice blocks AND more importantly the homemade blocks last longer than bought ones. I have long suspected that commercial operators somehow pump air into their ice while it is freezing which makes it lighter and quicker to melt. The blocks from this mold are smaller than commercial ones but last longer, in the same cooler. The design is great, it has reinforcing so I can fill it and it holds its shape while I carry downstairs to the freezer (ie, doesn't collapse and get water all over the floor). Recommended
