being elderly and increasingly hard of hearing I wanted sub-titles and this has them. It is easy to assemble and set up. It does far more things than I will ever want like connecting to a computer and playing music.For those who want such things it is well worth exploring

I got this for a very good price from Amazon Warehouse during the Prime Day sales (it seems to be in perfect condition). It takes less than an hour to set up the various software elements (you need to be reasonably savvy to do this), with a little longer to add the optional Amazon Echo connection and speaker pairing. This is for a bedroom with no aerial socket and I used an indoor digital aerial to access terrestrial TV channels; all the rest - Prime, iPlayer, Netflix. various TV hubs - connect via wifi. The fairly basic DVD drive is hidden away on the right hand side of the set. For the price, the picture and sound are perfectly acceptable for a second TV.

Easy to set up, great value tv with all the features you need. Free view hd, you view, nextflix.etc..

Picture OK, Sound OK, Internet OK.However, the Operating system if faulty, it locks up every day when selecting different Source Inputs, using the DVD and when using the APPS provided. The power has to be disconnected to reset, even after a factory reset.(The factory Reset made things worse, it took 2 hours to get it back to being a usable system).I can't upgrade the firmware as the system tells me its the latest when I try to upgrade.I'm dissapointed and may look for another brand. £230 wasted.

The TV itself is quite nice once you get it set up which is complicated because it’s hard to understand what some of the questions mean.Toshiba’s customer support is virtually non-existent though. The main site doesn’t think this model of TV exists so you can’t download the user guide although if you go through Amazon support you can find it eventually. There doesn’t seem to be anyway of contacting Toshiba with a question unless you want to use a premium phone number. Not an email address in sight!A real pain is that there isn’t an app for Amazon Prime. I didn’t realise that different manufacturers limited which content suppliers you have access to. The downside of this for Amazon is that I may we’ll be going to cancel my Prime subscription.

Really like the ability to get amazon prime. The picture is great. Much better sound than I expected.

Pleased with the functionality. Good sound, clear picture, freeview play is easily accessed. The set itself is lightweight compared to the one it replaces. Minimal paperwork so not immediately clear how to get to setup, but once you realise the Home button gets you to everything then it is easy. One issue though, it can only be switched off at the socket, which is inconvenient in our case as we have to move the set to do that, so is generally left on standby.
