Laurent Perrier has been creating unique and elegant Champagnes for nearly two hundred years making it one of the world's most esteemed Champagne brands, and also the largest family-owned brand. The House was founded in 1812 by Andre Michel Pierlot and took the name Vve Laurent-Perrier when Mathilde Emilie Perrier, the widow of Eugene Laurent, combined the two family names after she decided to expand the business.Eugenie Hortense Laurent, her daughter, inherited the House in 1925 and sold it to Marie-Louise Lanson de Nonancourt in 1939. In 1945, Bernard de Nonancourt began an exacting apprenticeship, learning every aspect of winemaking from vine to cellar. Fired by a passion for champagne, a respect for traditional values and, most importantly, for people, he inspired Laurent-Perrier with his independent spirit and creative audacity. He established privileged working relationships with the grape growers and cleverly combined innovation and tradition. He created the signature Laurent-Perrier style of freshness, lightness and elegance and developed a unique range of champagnes which are today exported to more than 160 countries worldwide. The Cuvée Rosé is one of the stars in the Laurent-Perrier range. It is made using the maceration technique, giving extraordinary depth and freshness that has made it the benchmark for Rosé champagne around the world. Winemaker Alain Terrier is an exceptionally gifted character, blending roughly equal amounts of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to produce this exquisite cuvée with delicate richness and great longevity.Revered by wine-lovers for its flavour, and for the beauty of its 17th century-style bottle, meticulous sorting of the grape bunches (100% Pinot Noir) and controlled maceration help extract the colour and reveal the full aromatic richness of the grapes. 10 different crus originate from the most beautiful areas of Champagne; Ambonnay, Bouzy, Louvois and Tours sur Marne.
