Haven't tried CDs. Bluetooth set up was easy and the remote can pause and play what is playing on my phone so that is nice. The buttons are all right on the top so easy to change the function. Love that right out of the box it was charged so I could set it up without plugging it in. Will be nice to be able to move it around the house with me. I got the black one and it looks perfect no scratches or anything.
