Older stock!
US Coast Guard requires replacement every 12 years. I received two fire extinguishers in May 2026. They are stamped 2024 so they will have to be retired and replaced before Jan 2036. You are not getting the full useful life of 12 years.

Not 12 year lifetime
The units are supposed to provided 12 year life. The units received are dated 2024. So only 10 year life is left.

mount could be better for a boat
I am hoping to never need it. The mount is not the best if you mount this in an open smaller fishing boat. The lower part keeps bumping up and down. I bought a couple of straps that I screwed in. Yes it will take longer to get to it when needed but that is better than to have lost it during transport.
